  • UI needs some serious work

    By Thaylie (Pcmac user)

I love the idea, but the interface is terrible. It’s cumbersome and most of the features don’t work. There is a database of foods you can search. It looks like it’s user driven, so there are inconsistencies. Supposedly, you can adjust and save an entry but nothing saves. If you try to use the database entry, there is no button I have pushed that saved it as your diary entry. There is text “prefill” indicating the database will fill in the nutritional information for your entry, it does nothing. Actually, it kicks you back to the main screen. You get no user feedback, there isn’t even a basic help screen explaining the purpose of the various icons you can tap. The only way I’ve found to add calories using the database is to increase the grams of the food. I don’t know the grams of the food in the database for prepared foods. I might know the calories, but not grams. It defeats the purpose of having a database, in terms of easy entry. The other entry method is to simply increase the calories on the main page. You get no other nutritional information and you need to already know the calories in the item. Overall, a great idea but terrible implementation.
  • Needs more work

    By Jmarlin (Pcmac user)

I downloaded this app today with great expectations but it is not working quite right. I found the food list but after trying to correct an entry could not get back to lists. The major thing this app needs is connection with the Apple Watch! The things tracked by the watch like water and exercise would add in automatically. I will try again tomorrow to see if it will allow me to enter foods from the list. It could truly be awesome if I can figure how to use it. I have given it another try and it is not at all intuitive. Only get to food database on first entry. I will go back to my easier to use apps that coordinate with my watch and where it is easier to make entries. I really liked the concept but perhaps if more work is done it will improve. Right now it just doesn’t work for me.
  • The Most Logical Way POSSIBLE

    By da07nny (Pcmac user)

Thank you. IMO this is all you need to watch real time calories. I don’t live a lifestyle where I can work out 4 hours a day, prep a weeks worth of food at a time, and sleep 8 hours a day. I’ll work a 70 hr week with the craziest times. This App helps me know when I’m on Empty, and when I’ve had enough food for the next 48 hours 😂. Great job to the whole team👍. 2019, what a time to be alive lol.
  • Seriously?

    By Not even.. (Pcmac user)

I downloaded this excited to put in my first couple of meals.. I tried the quick add and NONE of the 6 things I tried to add were found. Seriously? An “Everything Bagel” is quite common. So is “Bake Shop Wheat Bread” with “Kettle Cooked Chips” nothing was found in the database. I thought it was gonna be convenient, but I guess not. I went back to the old calorie app I was using that has pretty much had every food I’ve added for my meals, even those I thought were rather strange. This app has a long way to go! But I think it will be a good app once it works out all the kinks.
