  • Great for deskewing and perspective correction

    By Laguna Backpacker (Pcmac user)

I use this app to deskew jpg images. Many deskew apps do no more than rotate an image to align it to a hoizintal ruler. This app does a true deskew—I can select four corners of an object that would be rectangular if viewed straight-on, and the app will correct the image to make the object rectangular. That makes it very useful for tasks such as: —correcting the keystone effect that appears when shooting tall buildings, —removing perspective from book cover photos that show the cover on a book shot at an angle; and —just about any other task where perspective correction or keystone removal is desired. It’s very intuitive and easy to use, and it’s pretty flexible in how one chooses the points where the correction is calculated.
  • wishing for Photos integration

    By tvopdx (Pcmac user)

fixing parallax / tilt shift issues is this app’s specialty and it performs wonderfully. If only it showed up as a plugin in Photos. As it is, I can find pictures in Photos, and easily edit them in this app, but when it comes to saving them - they don’t go back into Photos (at least not obviously - and they don’t show up in the standard Photos view). So Please Please the app - make it a plugin.
  • The Usual From DXO

    By NOMADCAT (Pcmac user)

First, the bad: It’s not integrated into any other applications via plugin. I can live with this, but it’s not appealing to EVER introduce another application into my workflow, especially since perspective correction is important to me. It’s got the usual wonky the app interface, forces you to do things in a particular order and there is little you can do to change it. Want to remove previews from the main screen window? Sorry, just keep opening others until the one you don’t want disappears. Perhaps there’s a way to do this, but I can’t find it. The corrections might be good, but it’s super important to be able to reduce the size of the image you’re working on when correcting perspective. How else can you make it work? I cannot find a way to reduce an image to less than 75% of the original. That does not leave nearly enough space around the frame to do work in. Photoshop’s transform tools are much more powerful. The Good? Still looking. I guess I’m out 10 bucks for something I will not use in its current state.
  • Not opening images

    By Mac.nugget (Pcmac user)

As of today, this app is not opening my jpeg and tiff images. It has to be updated!
