FTP On The Go Pro - Upgrade for Pc

I’ve been using it for years. It’s always been one of the most useful apps in my toolkit. Even my wife is impressed with it and she doesn’t use it. Let me explain. I maintain her website. She a psychotherapist and I had added a new therapist to her site. She noticed a couple of typos in the new therapist’s biography. So while we waited for our lunch at a restaurant I pulled down the page in question, fixed the typos using the built-in text editor and moved it back to her site. I said, “All fixed.” She was amazed I could do that from our table while we waited. Thanks FTPOnTheGo Pro! It’s things like that that keep me using it. I had also noticed that the explicit FTPS option had stopped working at some when connecting to my the app server, even after upgrading the the app server. I switched over to SFTP in the interim. After getting my new iPhone the other day and upgrading to to the latest version of FTPOnTheGo Pro the explicit FTPS was working again. Thanks! Keep up the good work. I highly recommend it.

A couple of small bugs can make the app appear broken (see below), yet it's largely more capable than the popular and polished Textastic. The workarounds that keep it working for me: • When it appears to crash on launch, I'm able to get into it via the app switcher. • [UPDATE: This appears to be fixed in the 4 March 2018 update.) A file can appear almost entirely blank, showing nothing but its first line; momentarily rotating the device fixes this for me. The app's functions are more customizable and robust than those of Textastic. FTPOnTheGo Pro has simpler, less-confusing directory navigation than Textastic 5.3.1 on iPhone (where the file-transfer and local-files views can be readily mistaken for one another), and simple edits to a remote file needn't involve fussing with a local copy as Textastic requires. (Textastic also requires more care to make sure a file gets uploaded to the correct location—!) On the other hand, updates have been quite rare, while Textastic has smoother performance and a more pleasant editing environment, plus some support for VoiceOver. In version 4.4.2 my Dropbox connection isn't working. this app has a good the app toolkit. If and when those bugs are fixed and it has a little more polish (better VoiceOver integration, more sharing options, etc.) I'll be happy to give it five stars.

I really like the power of the app On the Go. But for some of my longer files, it no longer works. If I try to hit return to add a new line in my HTML, or try to paste in more than one line, the app crashes. These are files I maintain with the app On the Go on my iPad, and on UltraEdit on my PC at home. Cutting and pasting also have a problem, adding a leading space that I have to delete. Another app also adds the leading space; not sure what is going on. But that app at least does not crash.

I used to love using this app both on my iPad and iPhone. For some reason, it has just stopped working properly. The site directory doesn't appear when logging in, unless you press the refresh button. However, I can no long upload or download files. It just hangs on all communication operations. Unfortunately, I haven't had a response from customer support (contacted them twice now), so I had to make a change to Coda. I hope they ultimately fix whatever is wrong with the app so they can retain their customer base.
