1. NOTE: You need to have an Office 365 account to use Microsoft Azure Information Protection viewer application.

2. You can view protected files (Rights protected email messages, PDF files, pictures, text files, and any other file format that is protected as a .pfile) that others have shared with you.

3. You can sign up for a free account by using the Azure Information Protection page.

4. Azure Information Protection app enables you to securely collaborate with others.

5. You cannot use Microsoft Account (Live, Hotmail or Outlook.com) account to sign in.

6. IT administrators can also deploy and manage the app for devices that are enrolled by Intune.

Install Azure Information Protection app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Azure In on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Azure In"
The search will reveal the Azure Information Protection app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Azure In is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Azure In.
Now enjoy Azure In on PC.

Buggy

AIP was not available as an option in the iOS mail client to open encrypted messages. Had to delete and reinstall. Not working to open encrypted PPTX files.
Useless app.

Cant believe this is built by msft, i would rather believe it was outsourced. What's the point for using it? You have to sign in so many times, and then it tells you windows the app rms does not work! What? And saving only to my personal skydrive but asked me to use my organization account? What scenario are you targeting at?

Signed up for an account, validated it via email and the app won't continue past the initial email screen. Beyond useless.
