If you want to install and use the Zagat app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Zagat for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Zagat for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Zagat in the search bar and press Search. Click on Zagat application icon. A window of Zagat on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Zagat icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Zagat for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Zagat for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

  • Helpful App For Finding The Kind Of Restaurant You're Looking For

This app is great for finding the kind of meal you want to have when you're traveling. I know it's not 100% comprehensive but when you're hungry in an unfamiliar location this will find you the food you want with the ambiance you want at the price you want to pay. When you're in your own neighborhood it can remind you of places to go that you hadn't thought about lately. There are maps, reviews, menus, photos. I've found it very helpful.

Honestly this is my go to app for restaurants. If you eat out this is a necessity. Literally every restaurant I have been to through Zagat has been the best. Other apps like yelp don’t come close. I don’t care about your blooming onion at outback steak house, or how your soda didn’t have enough carbonation. These restaurants are reviewed my professionals with standards.

First I love that Zagat is far mor curated than most other review sites. Pair this with the ease to find fare or drinks nearby quickly and you have a blockbuster. The features for finding quick bites, drinks or brunch/lunch/dinner nearby are especially outstanding. Also, searching neighborhood without having to type in via a map is elegant design. Thank you, Zagat!
  • Pratt’s Under-Delivers on Christmas Eve

It’s Christmas Eve. I am serving dinner at my house at 4:00 p.m. for 35 people. I arrived at Pratt’s to pick-up my 2:30 p.m. order, and much to my surprise I am still waiting on my order at 3:30 p.m. At first, I was told they were waiting on the corn, and now I am being told the ham isn’t ready. I placed my order in advance and arrived on time. This is absolutely inexcusable. I am going to be late to my own Christmas Eve celebration because my $200-plus order still has not arrived. Pratt’s under-delivered and caused a Christmas fiasco. A big thanks to you for ruining our family celebration.

  • Update: Still Having Issues

    1

For years, I have trusted Zagat to provide me with honest ratings of restaurants. No more. My wife and I live in New Orleans, where we enjoy a wide range of excellent restaurants. Recently, after The Zagat ownership changed hands, we noticed several of our favorite restaurants — all excellent places — had disappeared from the app searches. Update: They seem to have restored the “missing” top notch restaurants that were historically present in the Zagat list of highly rated restaurants. However, there continue to be restaurants that are “Zagat rated”that I personally do not believe are worthy of the designation. Furthermore, when I tested the app again today, it diverted me to other cities, after I selected New Orleans as the location. Bugs galore. Since I discovered the issues with this app, I’ve been regularly using eater.com. Eater.com impresses me as providing honest and independent assessments of restaurants. I’ll give Zagat one more chance. If they don’t fix their issues, their app will be gone for good on my phone.
  • Future rather than Present

This app is terrible. It does not allow one to select dining spots where one plans to be in the future. Rather one is restricted to places in one’s current location. Searching by specific locations has always been a significant deficiency of this app.
  • Map doesn’t work and neither does filtering idiots

If I filter by time why do you include restaurants that are already closed? It’s stupid. The restaurant reviews are generally all right but the map is idiotic as well. It doesn’t work at all. You should pay your app developers more because this is ridiculous.
  • Very out of date listings

The app has many closed restaurants in the Miami area on it. Some that have been closed for over 2 years. They are coming up in its curated list and there is no easy way in the app to let the developer know.
  • Can’t believe they missed this!!!

This app is a joke. Best list for Italian food includes Taverna that closed 3 months ago. Etoile is best French restaurant but not on the list. I am deleting this app since it is useless.
