  • Scale degrees

    By _fClef (Pcmac user)

Nice fun learning app. Can we get scale degrees as a Note Name selection? Would be helpful leading scales.
  • I like it - works ok ...

    By fender5803 (Pcmac user)

I am a novice to lower intermediate the app player (whatever that tells you) I need to play more. Am self taught. I like this for the scales mostly so far. It took me awhile to figure my way around and then I saw the "I" for info button which helped a lot. For sure I would recommend this to a beginner. 1) I do get crashes on occasion, not to many so not to annoyed yet. (Minus 1/2 a star) 2) Also I have trouble getting the "neck" lined up on my phone (iPhone4) as nicely as I'd like but it works fine. 3) It would be great if the view shifted as the notes moved to a different section of the neck ? (Minus 1/2 star) All in all for $3 it is well worth it to me. I used it for awhile before I went for the Pro version. I wanted a couple things that were turned off to those needing to save a bit of money Thanks for the app Tom Best, DT
  • Not bad

    By Lighter now (Pcmac user)

Not a bad the app app for the price, but could definitely use some improvements. The main one: have the sound actually come from a the app guitar, not what sounds like a keyboard! This really mars the experience. Also, would be very handy for those learning the app to see the actual note displayed that's being played (i.e. E, A, D, C, etc). This could be distracting for some, so it should be a feature that can be turned on or off. Another great feature would be the ability to pick a key and have those notes constantly highlighted on the fretboard as long as that key was chosen. This would be extremely useful for someone learning the fretboard. With changes such as these, it would be a 5 star app!
  • Not for a newbie, but helps you strengthen your skills

    By Nellysauce (Pcmac user)

Great to help a the app player who has some knowledge, increase their knowledge and skills. One Problem: on the scales the system plays a scale with an Eb and when you play it back from the fretboard they call it a D#. So you get it "wrong" even though they are technically the same note. If you could fix that, I would go 5 stars.
