Install Metra Rails app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using Metra Rails on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Metra Rails"
- The search will reveal the Metra Rails app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once Metra Rails is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Metra Rails.
- Now enjoy Metra Rails on PC.

- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use Metra Rails,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Metra Rails" » then Click "Install".
- Metra Rails will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Error in schedule

I have a new paper schedule for the Union Pacific north line in front of me and testing to see how the app will connect me to the BNSF line. The arrival time into OTC does not match the printed material. I also tried to plan a trip connecting UPN line to UPW line which leaves out of the same station as UPN line and the app indicated no available schedules. Once again I have the paper schedules in front of me and know this to not be true. Has potential but can't trust it.

Have used for sometime now. Quickest way to look up the app schedule! Had to delete and reinstall app for the last update to take affect. Now works great

this app is a great example of an app that is meant to facilitate a very simple task but accomplishes the very difficult job of keeping that task simple. For anybody that has ever looked up the app times on the app's own website, you've experienced how a poorly designed application can make a simple task much too difficult and time consuming to accomplish.
This app eliminates the step of having to first select your rail line, and skips directly to choosing your departure and arrival stations, and avoids all intermittent page refreshes (the main culprits of adding time to the process of looking up times on the the app website). I am hoping that the developer is able to integrate delay updates once the app launches that feature on their own system sometime this year.
For now, this app is by far your best and quickest option for searching the app schedules. Once you use this app, you'll never use the the app website to look up train times again.
