  • OK program; not useful for printing

By BigFan in FL (Pcmac user)

This is a fairly simple program, and is a good solution for creating quick collages, but unfortunately, the quality of the final image product is poor. The concept is that you arrange any number of pictures on a standard-sized image. You have a limited, but sufficient, number of tools to help arrange, rotate, and size the images. You can then export the images into common format (e.g. jpg, tiff, etc.) Unfortunately, if you intend to PRINT the collage, the program does not maintain the resolution of imported photos. So, while it looks good on the screen, the printed image will appear fuzzy or pixelated. Therefore, this programs is really only intended for images that are to be shared electronically (e.g. e-mail, tablet, phone) and not for producing photo-quality images.
  • A hit and miss

    By Raven0714 (Pcmac user)

So my first run with the app went super smooth then the second time I used it every time I would blur the edges of an image within the collage it would turn the entire image clear as if I never inserted an image. After an hour of messing with it and restarting the app multiple times I finally was able to create the image I desired. I wouldn’t have dealt with something for that long but I just paid for this app that seemed to be decent but I am a bit disappointed. Hopefully they can fix these bugs SOON!!
  • Frequently "Quit unexpectedly"

    By cat Eleanor (Pcmac user)

This app is pretty good for $3.99. Pros: inexpensive, flexible, fun to use, fairly versatile, mostly accomplishes what I want to do. Neutrals and Solvable Workarounds: Fixed window size (hack: change the Accessibility settings); doesn't access Photos library (save desired photos to jpgs); doesn't Undo easily (save collages in-progress if you're still making significant changes); printing (save to jpg and print from there); individual collages don't save as re-openable works: you have to start over (hack: finish in one session); etc. Cons: Move Forward/Back are inconsistent; new photos are automatically set to front (I like to use them to fill in background); Rotate/Resize icon doesn't appear regularly, and only appears in the same layer as the photo (move the photo around/in front to find the icon); there's no way to set a photo aside to include later, ie, a waiting area off to one side: all photos are layered into the workspace, so there's a lot of manipulating photos to find what you want; there's no Lock to Grid or Add to Group, so you can align several photos and/or move them in tandem. MAJOR FLAWS: Cannot save a work in progress to finish later: the the app file opens, but all photos are blank. APP QUITS UNEXPECTEDLY, usually right before a planned Save to jpg. All work is lost. "Save" doesn't work the usual way, i.e., repeating the previous Save commands (file type, location, etc.). You have to use Save As from scratch each time. S-l-o-w . . . and the photo often jumps a bit after you have it exactly where you want it. (It's a bit faster than non-Pro version, and the movements are more consistent.) SUMMARY I might recommend this app to a one-time or occasional user, but this app is NOT suited for heavy lifting, frequent scrap-booking, or other high-volume, high-manipulation use. It is probably NOT suitable for a person who is easily frustrated. I usually have decent patience, but am becoming less so after the third or fourth "Quit Unexpectedly."
  • Not what it seems

    By YippyChaiYay (Pcmac user)

This app is cumbersome. You have very limited “frames” and “patterns” to put your pic’s into. The frames and pattern’s cannot be resized, and you have to use a fixed number of frames in the collage, unless you chose the “pile” pattern. The pile pattern is where all your pic’s that you want added, are stacked on top of one another in a “pile.” You then have to manually resize and place them where you want them. And if you click on some of the other pattern’s or frame’s and decide that you wan’t to go back to what you had, you have to RE-DO YOUR ADJUSTMENTS. Not fun!! It would be more functional if it asked you how many frames you want to use, and auto-adjusted the size of the pics to fit inside of the collage. Get iFrame Pro instead. It looks much better and cheaper. Im very unhappy that I wasted 5 bucks on this app.
