  • Fantastic adventure game!

    By Guybrush T. (Pcmac user)

I’ve always had a soft spot for adventure games ever since I spent sleepless nights trying to beat Monkey Island with my brother when we were kids. It’s unfortunate that as technology advanced, adventure games became less popular and overshadowed by RTS, FPS and MMORPG. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy almost all genres of video games. this app brought back the magic of adventure games with modern graphics, smooth gameplay and wonderful humor. After finishing act 1 I couldn’t wait to play act 2. Fortunately I discovered this app relatively late so I didn’t have to wait long for act 2 to be released. I was sad that there would be no more though as I thought maybe there would be at least an act 3. I highly recommend this app if you like adventure games. But if you’re looking for something “fast paced” like “Damager99”, this is not for you.
  • Great Story, High Production Value

    By ThistleJ (Pcmac user)

this app Act I is a gem of an adventure game and a fine example of good story telling. The art, voice acting, and music are consistently excellent — the best I’ve seen in a long time. You play two characters in this game —in what at first seems like two unrelated stories— and can switch between the two at any time. This switching actually makes the game a lot more fun — if you get stuck in one story, you can move to the other and hope the answer to the first comes to you. The game is, sadly, a bit on the short side (even if played slowly, I think the playing time would be under 5 hours); but it is only Act I and more is to come. In general the puzzles are elegant and most are not too difficult. On the whole, this has a lot of promise; hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for the quest to continue.
  • Very Charming

    By App1eEMP (Pcmac user)

This is a very well made point and click adventure with a wonderfully hand painted world to tie it all together. It masterfully teaches you how to pay the game without holding your hand, just nudging you in the right direction while still giving you the satisfaction of solving a puzzle yourself. If for some reason the gameplay doesn’t grab you the complex story, creative character designs and interactions will definitely keep you going and wanting more. Most can not imagine worlds in which these two protagonists live, though separate in distance they both are connected in mysterious ways. The dialogue and item collecting in this game can be both hilarious and exciting. All in all this is an immensely charming and innovative take on the genre. I can’t wait to finish act two.
  • Act 2 is on it’s way

    By MuzicLover<3 (Pcmac user)

So, if you’re thinking about buying this game you might want to wait another month. The expected release date of Act II is April 28, 2015 for PC and Sony Playstation 4. When the second act comes out, the game will be treated as a whole, so it won’t just end at Act I. Overall, the storyline is intriguing and you kind of feel the determination of Vella and the bored mundane life Shay leads. The ending will surprise you, so if you start off the game and think it’s a bit childish, I would encourage you to continue. The first Act is short, which is why I gave the game such an average rating, but a few of the puzzles do stump you. However, I’m excited for Act II as it is projected to be twice as long as Act I and have harder puzzles. Overall, the game did entertain me for the few hours I could play it, but I would defeintely recommend waiting until the second part drops.
