  • Zero complaints, some suggestions from a newbie

    By WaterfrontJoe (Pcmac user)

20 years collecting. Just beginning to catalog my 3000 records - and the app is working great. The access to the Discogs database is excellent and quite useable. I downloaded a similar app first but immediately moved to this one; the functionality on the other just didn't meet my needs. Some immediate suggestions: 1. it would be very nice to be able to delete doubles or remove items from the wantlist. 2. It would be nice to be able to filter the search items to eliminate the many imported/European versions. For a US collector with a run-of-the-mill flea market/thrift shop/local record store collection, this would halve the time of entry of all my records. This may be a discogs website thing, or some website-only features, but separating CD's, Tapes, LP's would be great. So would altering the alphabetization. Frank Zappa is certainly not going to get filed in the "F" section in my library!
  • Love this app!

I have been collecting vinyl for many years and have collected a library in excess of over 1000 lps. Large to some...simply a starting point to others! LOL!!! This app has been a god send for me! It was extremely quick and easy to add my collection! Now at a glance I can see my entire collection, easily identify duplicates, look at special pressing and see exactly what I'm looking for when I find record sales or enjoying a day at the vinyl stores. Most importantly though is having information on hand for insurance purposes! Recently we had a flood in our home and part of my collection was damaged! When the insurance company wanted to replace the albums with CDs it was easy to separate the albums into a "damaged" folder and show what current costs for replacements would be!
  • Not as deep a database as CDDB.

    By frissonic (Pcmac user)

First off, the barcode scanner works, but it doesn't work as well as it should. If I scan a disc and it doesn't populate the disc info, I can manually search and find the disc info. If I can find the disc info by fat-fingering in the band name and disc name, shouldn't the scanner be able to pick up the disc info? Second, HOW can you be a reputable database and not recognize a single U2 disc--either with the barcode OR typing in the band/disc names!? HOW CAN YOU NOT RECOGNIZE U2?! Thirdly, I thought I could export my discs to a spreadsheet via cvs file. I can't see how that's possible, even when I connect my phone to my desktop. There are some good things about this app, but the shortcomings almost out-weigh the positives. Please work on those for the 4.0 release.
  • Almost perfect

    By R8Jensen (Pcmac user)

Personally I'd like to add the feature to add to your Personal Collection and also have option to watch the videos/YouTube clips for the songs listed per album in the app but other than that works cool! Excited to go dig records with this bad boy
