1. Das Landesamt für Natur, Umwelt und Verbraucherschutz in Nordrhein-Westfalen führt eine solche zentrale Verwaltung für Altbäume ein.

2. Im Umfeld von Altbäumen, insbesondere in den Baumkronen, lebt eine Vielzahl von Arten, die unter besonderem gesetzlichen Schutz stehen.

3. Deshalb ist es wichtig zu wissen, wo Altbäume zu finden sind, um welche Baumarten es sich handelt und ob die Altbäume als Einzelbäume oder als Baumgruppe vorkommen.

4. Sie zeigt den aktuellen Meldestand zu Altbäumen in NRW und bietet jedem die Möglichkeit, den Standort eines Altbaums zu melden.

5. Altbäume sind von besonderem Interesse für den Naturschutz.

6. Was liegt also näher als den Standort eines Altbaums einer zentralen Stelle zu melden.

7. Dazu ist eine kostenlose Registrierung im Internet unter notwendig.

8. Die AltbaumFinder App wird vom LANUV NRW bereitgestellt.

Install AltbaumFinder app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using AltbaumFinder on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "AltbaumFinder"
The search will reveal the AltbaumFinder app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once AltbaumFinder is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including AltbaumFinder.
Now enjoy AltbaumFinder on PC.
