Software Features and Description

1. Full-screen mode, landscape support, pinch and pan zooming, favourites list, GPS location, nearest radars list, national radar, observation layers (wind speed, wind direction, rain since 9am), plus more.

2. Rain Radar Plus Australia displays up to the minute rain and wind radar data from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM).

3. Note also that Rain Radar Plus Australia does it contain any embedded BOM data, it is simply a means to retrieve and display data that is already freely available.

4. All available overlays can be turned on/off independently; current observations (wind speed, wind direction, rain since 9am), locations, range, districts, railways, roads, catchments, lakes & rivers, topography.

5. Note that although Rain Radar Plus Australia retrieves data from the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) it is in no way affiliated with the BOM.

6. Displays all available radar ranges; 64km, 128km, 256km, 512km, and doppler wind.

7. Displays animated radar images full screen, single tap to show or hide all associated controls.

8. Displays the national consolidated radar & satellite images.

9. At start up choose to display the last radar viewed, your favourite radar, or the closest radar.

10. No tapping, just get the radar you want to display instantaneously.

11. Updates the available list of radars, and ranges, automatically as they become available without installing version updates.

Install Rain Radar+ AU - BOM Radar app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Rain Radar+ AU on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Rain Radar+ AU"
The search will reveal the Rain Radar+ AU - BOM Radar app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Rain Radar+ AU is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Rain Radar+ AU.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Rain Radar+ AU,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Rain Radar+ AU" » then Click "Install".
- Rain Radar+ AU - BOM Radar will now be available on your Windows start-menu.
