This is the most non-intuitive unstable app that I have installed on my mac. It crashes often. The developer has not updated it in months. And you can’t crop the pictures once you’ve placed then in the frame!

I have used this app to create this years christmas cards - great results in no time. Love it!

Tried to make a collage formatted for iPad. App crashed after all my work was done when I went to preview it. Very frustrating. Save your money.

I just put together a very elegant collage of 46 headshots using this application. I wanted something a little more interesting than all-heads-same-size, and I was able to tweak the built-in templates enough to give me 30 smaller images and 16 larger images in an interesting layout. It has a lot of nice features (prebuilt sizes, drag-and-drop images, built-in templates) and some dopey ones ("shake" looks terrible, sorry). The interface is a little odd to my way of thinking (to click and drag images, you have to click and hold for a couple seconds first). Overall, it took a lengthy collage process and made it fairly easy. Saved me time and it's reasonably priced. Took me about an hour to make a really elegant collage; it would have taken considerably longer in Photoshop. I went back and had to resize my collage for a different purpose. It took me a while to figure out that I can make a new grid by going to "Arrange/New Layout", but once I did that it was possible to re-arrange my collage for various uses. Oddly, it refuses to let me make a new grid with fewer images, only one with equal or more images; I had to manually delete the difference first. I experienced zero crashing problems (iMac with 16GB RAM, running OSX 10.7.5). Pros: --> Really does make it easy to make collages, resize them, edit them, repurpose them. --> Saves a lot of time over building collages in Photoshop --> Allows you to create lots of different designs Cons: --> Somewhat crazy interface. The software is really flexible, but it takes a while to figure out how to do what you want. --> Selecting and resizing images is possible, but it does not behave the way I would expect. --> The built-in templates are really cheesy. The software is capable of elegant, but the templates lean toward cheesy. --> Resizing images within the collage is weird. The software tries to be "smart" about what you are resizing. I found it often easier just to start over from scratch. --> No previews for actions you are going to take. For example, setting up a grid under New Layout, I have to try a bunch of different times to get a grid I liked, and undo; new layout, grid, undo; new layout, another grid, undo; etc. If the software had a preview, creating a grid would take only one step. --> I can't select multiple boxes to perform a box-level action (such as "split" or "max crop", I have to do it box by box. Overall, though, don't get me wrong. Once you get the hang of it, it's a great way to create collages.
