★ ★ ★ BMI.Calculator Overview

What is BMI.Calculator? The app is a health and fitness calculator that helps users calculate their Body Mass Index (BMI), Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), Body Fat Calculation (BFC), and Harris Benedict Equation (HBE). It also includes an information tab to explain each calculator.

Software Features and Description

1. BMI (Body Mass Index) is a measurement of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both men and women between the ages of 18 and 65 years.

2. However, a regular routine of cardiovascular exercise can increase your BMR, improving your health and fitness when your body's ability to burn energy gradually slows down.

3. The Harris Benedict Equation is a formula that uses your BMR and then applies an activity factor to determine your total daily energy expenditure (calories).

4. The only factor omitted by the Harris Benedict Equation is lean body mass.

5. Fat regulates body temperature, cushions and insulates organs and tissues and is the main form of the body's energy storage.

6. This Body Fat calculator is based on a formula developed by the US Navy.

7. Check out this Body Fat Chart which describes fat ranges and their associated categories.

8. If you have any concerns about your weight, please discuss them with your physician, who is in a position, unlike this BMI calculator, to address your specific individual situation.

9. How much Body Fat are you carrying? Find out if you are in the healthy range.

10. The BMR Calculator will calculate your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR); the number of calories you'd burn if you stayed in bed all day.

11. First, your body fat percentage is simply the percentage of fat your body contains.

  • Very easy to use

By Quantum Financial Advisors (Pcmac user)

Took a second to see how it worked but just enter your data which is saved for future use. Press calculate and then select the tabs for the results you need. No need for a next button. Nice first release.
  • Hard to use

By Addicted to pvz (Pcmac user)

I like that age and gender are factors but this app is not easy to use. I'm deleting it.
  • Disappointing

    By kadmariposa (Pcmac user)

It's kind of a pain to enter the data. Needs a "next" button for completing the form. I'm trying a cleaner running app. :-(
