Install SongBook app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using SongBook on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "SongBook"
The search will reveal the SongBook app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once SongBook is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including SongBook.
Now enjoy SongBook on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use SongBook,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "SongBook" » then Click "Install".
- SongBook will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

Songbook is indispensable

This amazing app does everything. I can create lyric sheets with custom placement of chords; set the pace for the song along with pauses for intro/outro/solo; for print the sheets out along with chord diagrams; transpose keys on the fly; create set lists for gigs. I use it on my iPad and have had no glitches. It may take a bit of time to get used to the coding used for creating a song sheet, but the structure is very straightforward once you get the hang of it. I have one criticism, which is that if I need to make changes within the app on the fly (time, lyrics, etc.) and save them during the session, the changes won’t be there next time - I’ll need to add the changes on my laptop and then upload to this app via iTunes. I’m used to it now, but maybe someone has a workaround. The good thing is that for that session at least you can play with the changes.

I have used this program for several years now and have few complaints. I wanted something that would let me easily make and show a song with accurate chord placement. This does that task more simply than anything else I have tried. I used this mostly at home at first, but have recently joined an ukulele club and we bring songs to share at each meeting. this app prints out a good, readable copy of the song, and if you want, a chord chart. You can force the program to write out different voicings of chords if you need to show alternatives. Don’t worry if you aren’t an ukulele player, you can set your instrument of choice in preferences. I would like to have more formatting options than are available but that is a very minor complaint. I use this app daily and have reccomended it to all my friends in my ukulele group.
Stable, reliable, always works as it should

I keep going back and forth, using this and Onsong. this app doesn’t have a lot of the features of Onsong but, this app always works unlike Onsong. I really needed a way to easily sync songs with my bandmate and be assured my songs are there and haven’t been wiped out. Onsong has great features and capablities but, with every IOS upgrade I’m having to redo my Onsong music list. this app is great to use on the Macbook for editing then sync to iPad. I’m looking forward to being able to sync my itunes backtracks to my this app pages.
Valuable functionality, with one major frustration

If you are authoring lots of .pro files, this really is a sweet app. Having a live preview is very comforting, and the resulting PDFs look very professional. I use it all the time. One massive caveat: the app assumes you are keeping all your .pro files in a single “song folder". If you open a .pro file from another folder and then save it, it gets saved into the song folder! So you think you saved your changes but you didn’t. The lesson: keep all your .pro files in the song folder or the app won’t work for you. I wish you could export directly to PDF, but you can do that via Print dialog, so no big deal.
