Install camLAPSE app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using camLAPSE on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "camLAPSE"
The search will reveal the camLAPSE app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once camLAPSE is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including camLAPSE.
Now enjoy camLAPSE on PC.

Pros: • Uses the full resolution of my web cam; other software is limited to lower resolutions. • Give you the option of reducing the resolution if the native resolution is too high. Cons: • Only saves a batch of images and seems to have no built-in utility for assembling those images into a movie. The right side of the application window says something about it being the Time Lapse Captured Movie, but right-clicking and selecting play does nothing, and there doesn't seem to be a way to save the movie to a file. I've emailed support, but given the earlier review, I'm not hopeful for much. • Only saves files in .png format; no way to select another format. • There are only two resolution options; full resolution and whatever you get when you click "Sacrifice capture quality to meet old and slow computers." Would be nice to have a menu item to select the resolution the camera captures. I was hoping this app was a little more full-featured... maybe in a later release.
Light, fast, simple time lapse recording

This app is extremely simple to use. You want to make a time lapse movie and you have a Mac. That is all you need. That is what it does. I would like to see some more recording criteria, speciffically limits on the size of the recording. I don't want to set my Mac to watch butterflies come out of their cocoons only to reallize that my hard drive is filled up. I think that some how limiting to hours per day or daylight hours as not to record during the dark would be cool too. The app price, for the feature set, is fair. I hope record lots of cool stuff that I don't want to stand around and watch.
