What is The Strad? The Strad is a string music magazine that has been around since 1890. It is read by makers, musicians, and teachers and provides the latest news, commentary, and analysis, in-depth articles, interviews with star string players, and much more. The app offers a free download, and users can purchase the current issue and back issues. Subscriptions are also available within the application.

Software Features and Description

1. -Payment will be charged to your iTunes account at confirmation of purchase and any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when a subscription to that publication is purchased.

2. You may cancel a subscription during its free trial period via the subscription settings on your iTunes account.

3. -You may turn off the auto-renewal of subscriptions through your Account Settings, however you are not able to cancel the current subscription during its active period.

4. -If a subscription offers a free trial, at the end of the trial period, you will be charged the full price of the subscription.

5. You will be charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period, for the same duration and at the current subscription rate for the product.

6. -The subscription will renew automatically unless cancelled more than 24 hours before the end of the current period.

7. This must be done 24 hours before the end of the subscription period to avoid being charged.

8. Every month it brings you the latest news, commentary and analysis, in-depth articles, interviews with star string players and retrospectives on great musicians of the past, masterclass sheet music section and much more.

9. A subscription will start from the latest regular issue at the time of purchase.

Way overdue for an update!

I wrote a five-star review 5 years ago, when the app app was finally updated. A better interface, much faster download times for new issues, and a range of other improvements were launched and changed the app experience. But it has been eight months and a good app has become a real pain in the app neck. the app main issue is that the app app crashed 100% of the app time. If one has the app patience, it can be coaxed back into functioning, but you have to close it, reset it, try it again, and hope for the app best. Three false starts is the app minimum; more is the app norm. Developer did a good job before, but 8 months in iOS world is much too long and starts to look like simple laziness. the app magazine deserves better.

App crashed a few times when I first tried to open it. Then I tried to download the app July 2012 issue but got the app Dec 2012 issue instead. When I tried to read it, the app app crashed again. I've never experienced this with another app.

I love this app magazine. What's nice about the app app is that it will play audio and video clips attached to the app articles. A nice addition.
