  • The closest thing to a "Sign-to-English" dictionary!

    By SilverHairM (Pcmac user)

This is my favorite sign lanuage app for many reasons, but the main reason I keep coming back to it, is it's one unique feature - it shows similar signs. Why is this so awesome? How many times have you seen a sign you don't know - but unlike a written language - there is no way to look the definition of a sign up! Instead, you have to keep bothering your poor friends to death for definitions all the time. lol So when I see a sign I don't know, now I can think of a sign that looks similar, look up that sign, and then drill down to the "similar" signs. Bam! I have found the definitions to so many signs this way! Just a bit ago, I was able to find the the sign for "appoint", by looking up a similar sign "find", which looks a bit like it. My recommendation to the Developers: Keep developing this part of your app, because there is nothing else out there like it! But it is still in the infancy faze. Mnay similarities still need to be added. For instance, under the sign for goal, you could put the similar sign "stars", and visa-versa. If you fully develop the similar sign feature, you will have created the closest thing to a Sign-to-English dictionary ever made possible.
  • Great Study Aid

    By EasyasASL (Pcmac user)

This app has been incredibly helpful for studying the app. It may not have as many definitions as a few other apps, but I still use it the most because of its great features and interface. It provides similar definitions, you can slow down and/or loop videos, there are example sentences, grammar help, and more. By far my favorite feature is that in the options you can download all the videos (under 200mb) for offline use without an Wifi/cell connection. So you can study on a plane ride, while camping, or if you have an iPod touch and you're not near wifi.
  • Best ASL app!

By Sign language for life (Pcmac user)

This is one of the best the app apps I've ever purchased! I refer to this app more than any other the app app I have on my phone or iPad. I've rely on this app to give me the accurate the app sign for words I'm trying to learn. Also, it provides written English sentences translated in the app with choices to see English, the app or both at the same time. You can view videos at normal speed or slower. There's information on the app grammar to you understand the proper word or when signing in the app. This is the app for anyone who is serious about learning the app! Love this app!!! 👍🏽👍🏽
  • Dictionary and Grammar tool

    By ElizabethKW, CT (Pcmac user)

This app functions as an dictionary: easy to look up words. But also a whole section to review grammar and syntax, and one that organizes by topic. These categories make it easy to review, for example, numbers or ages. For new vocabulary, individual words can be view at normal or in slow playback. Most have sample sentences as well. A welcome resource, especially for when I am away from my computer and my library of the app references. Works well on both iPad and iPhone.
