What is OvitalMap? OvitalMap is a map browser developed by Beijing Ovital Software Co.,Ltd. based on Google API, supporting offline views of Google Map, satellite map and terrain map, as well as voice navigation. It offers a variety of features such as route search, interactive voice navigation, information search, location sharing, communication with friends, track record, elevation data service, and real 3D map.

Software Features and Description

1. OvitalMap is a map browser developed by Beijing Ovital Software Co.,Ltd. based on Google API, supporting offline views of Google Map, satellite map and terrain map, as well as voice navigation.

2. The API search engine will offer information about your location, roads, and buses, as well as hotels, entertainment, banks, restaurants, supermarkets, gas stations, parking lots, and tourist attractions nearby a certain position.

3. When you are using the system to chat with a friend (just like using QQ or MSN), you can insert a location tag, travel solution, or a map created by yourself.

4. We also can direct output the contour line in 10 meters on the satellite map, which helps you directly see the elevation data on satellite map.

5. Elevation data service, the Cloud of Ovitalmap integrate SRTM3 elevation data around the world.

6. Google API offers a search engine to choose the best route for you.

7. There will be voice navigation for the walk or driving route suggested by the system.

8. At present it supports Google map, Google satellite map and Google terrain map.

9. You can share your location at a certain moment with selected relatives or friends so that they will know your position on the map.

10. The location of friends will be shown on the map dynamically so that you can know where they are and don’t need to worry losing their positions any more.

11. The system can highlight moving tracks of more than one friend with lines of different colors.

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "OvitalMap"

Once OvitalMap is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including OvitalMap.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use OvitalMap,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "OvitalMap" » then Click "Install".
- OvitalMap will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

OvitalMap functions

1. Support for a variety of well-known maps including Google map, Google satellite map, and Google terrain map. The maps can be downloaded for offline applications to save 3G traffic.

2. Route search using Google API to find the best route for travel, either by walk, bus or driving.

Great functionality, terrible interface

I got thus app so I could get google maps offline, in custom areas and custom resolution, and it does that very well. Where this app falls short though, is the interface. it took me a good 45 minutes just to get a handle on what buttons need to be pushed in what order to get anything done. Would be a great app if they could streamline that though.
Great while the images remain but they will disappear

After spending many hours scanning a number of areas to be used to help with navigation I later came back to find that more than 50% of the saved images were removed. There is no decent documentation to help one figure out all the options. It would be a 5 star app if there was a way to keep all the images from being removed. Frustrating there is no documentation in English to help with setup

Offline maps for anywhere!

I was annoyed that google maps couldn't save offline maps for some rural areas of Bulgaria, so I downloaded a bunch of free apps advertising an unlimited option of this and this one hasn't failed to disappoint! There are some language translation "bugs" which slowed me down from learning the app quickly (operation should be called options), but simply by trial and error, messing around, I managed through. I haven't used the tracking recording feature but I've used the area "sectioning" feature to save the offline maps. Sometimes it doesn't save-its because downloading the offline maps is separate from the area feature but always make sure to save if you want to, and then it will definitely work. I like how you can pick certain icons for the the favorites, but it would be even better if you could pick emoji. Adapts well to iPad too! Overall, I'm pleased with this. Some hard work was put into it!
