  • If an app can be concise, this is one of them

    By GarrettStewie (Pcmac user)

I've been using this app for about 4 years now, and it's still great. Intuitive layout, simplistic but functional design, and it excels at what it does. For some apps, background notifications really seem to be a downfall, but I'm never worried to lock my phone and let it run while I workout. Outside of fitness, I've used it while cooking, and for a power hour with friends (shots on the minute). Basically, it's a real versatile app ;)
  • Longer durations?

    By kbizz12 (Pcmac user)

This is a fantastically simple app. I downloaded it not realizing the longest interval was 4min long, though. Is maybe a secondary setting (that doesn’t interfere with the main UI simplicity) that could be switched from “Exercise” to “Productivity” or something? This would be so sick to have larger intervals of work and rest for desk work and general focus-relax cycles when doing things outside the gym. Literally just a switch that changed the seconds to minutes and minutes to hours so that the largest interval was 4hrs and so on. Obviously it’s a HIIT timer for exercise but that feature would result it me deleting like 3 other timers that I’ve tried and are just too darn fancy. It may also broaden the market of the app itself as more than just Health and Fitness, but a Productivity app too!
  • Good for what it is. No plans to improve it though.

This app is great for what it is, but after spending the money buy it, I have learned that this app isn't going to improve. If you want a pretty user interface and it doesn't bother you that functionality won't be added, get this app. I think this is more so made for a crossfit coach since they are constantly needing to adjust timer and reps as per the students. Pros- -Simple interface. Cons- -Can't save your timer configurations Bottom line? If you're thinking of using this app for personal workout where you keep track of what you've done in the past, use a different app. If you want a simple and uniquely beautiful interface with limited functionality, get this app. I personally sort of regret spending the money, I'll use it, but only because I've spent the money already and want to get some use out of it.
  • 95% perfect

    By amplifyfitness (Pcmac user)

Simple interface and rock solid performance. Only thing I wish for is the ability to chain different "bits" together to keep a workout fluid. For example I would love to have one "the app" be 20s work, 10s rest, 8x repeat. Then strong a "the app" for 30s work, 30s rest, 4x repeat. Then back to first "the app". Essentially a playlist of work-rest-repeat segments arranged anyway I like. I would even pay another dollar to have this function. Great app, great interface.
