Great way to practice the basics.

I've taken this app before but that was quite a few years ago. This app is great for starters or people who are trying to get a beginning understanding of the language. The matching games really help reinforce the characters and I hope to see more out of this app in the future. The app isn't perfect however. In the kanji game it would be so much more helpful if it gave you the romanji name of the Kanji and matched it from there so it reinforces the actual name of the Kanji. Other than that the app just needs more. I would love to see a section about conjugation and sentence structure. Definitely some things that can be worked on. Overall this app is great. すごいですよ

Tanoshii! I love this app so far. As someone who has already picked up quite a few phrases in this app but just starting to learn the written language, this is very useful to me. I can practice my hiragana more than by just using flash cards. I have most of them memorized and this helps with that. And not only remembering but remembering quickly. I hope to continue using this app and that they add more content soon. If anything I'd love if they had small instructional videos on word pronunciation or small audio clips attached to each fun or useful word so you can here them right then and there. Keep it up!
Great language app

I've really enjoyed having this app. It is put together very well with nice transitions from one topic to another. Useful navigation between subjects. I wish I would've had this app before we went to Japan a year ago, it has changed what I would've wanted to go and see. Pros: great information, fun pictures of places, food, and events, language game was fun enough to keep me repeating it as I was seeing improvement in my ability to recognize words, numbers, and sounds. Free, with option to donate! Cons: small game variety, wish there were a few more games to help with the language lessons. Overall, I would recommend this to others by writing a review, which is rare.
Best free Japanese app out there!

I cannot recommend this app enough! People familiar with quizlet will love this app's character matching game even more! The descriptions of how each system is used and examples helped me decide which system to learn first! This is much more than a translator, as it is also a guide for traveling around Japan, down to specific parts of towns! However, if I had to change one thing in this app, I'd fix the issue of hiragana's character for "ri" as it is displayed differently from the character table when playing "Hiragana find!" Other than that, 5 Stars!
