Mobile the app allows me to scan pdf and convert to text which I can copy to Pages, etc. Formatting initially disappears, but reappears when the text is copied and pasted into word processing app. I have tried it with some very challenging formatting and text styles, including italics and small print. It handled all very well. It does require wifi to convert text. Only negative is that the 5 daily credits do not seem to replenish, so it is not very useful as a free app (unless you uninstall and reinstall after 5 scans). However, unlimited scans seem to be a great investment. Customer support responded quickly and generously to my inquiry about their guarantee.

The first test of a couple paragraphs of German text from a low resolution scan seemed to work really well, giving far better accuracy than a few other apps that I tried. It appeared to have lost the formatting but emailing it to myself, the formatting returned. However, a second test of longer text in English simply gave nothing. No gibberish, just nothing. Running the same image, still loaded, again still gave nothing but took off another "point" from the available usages. About the business model, if I buy software, I expect to have purchased it to use as needed but this company requires payment for each run of the the app. If you have many scans to do and unlimited funds, this may be the way to go but not for me. It's rather an absurd way of doing things!
Program actually works! Others do not

I've tried the keywords business card reader and none of those applications worked at all. All I got was garbage. On 2 out of 2 business cards it was 97% accurate. I made a few corrections the first time. Then I realized if I put the phone on a desk, it doesn't shake. Double tap the screen to focus angle the phone to get the glare out of the photo and leave enough margin that it can read the card. It does crop by itself, so if something is cut off from the photo, just pull back the phone a little and tap twice to refocus and snap your photo, it's just that simple.
Useless on iOS 6 and new iPad

Bought this app (full version) yesterday and was VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!! After extraction of the text from the image I got strange strings of words, senseless!!! Please FIX THIS NASTY BUG! From your recordS your last UPDATE was on November, 2011. Technology has advanced greatly, iOS 6 wasn't in use by then and even the new iPad. DON'T BUY THIS APP UNTIL IT HAS BEEN UPDATED IN March 2013 or at a later date for iOS 6 new IPAD. The good thing I will appreciate on this app is that it works with over 20 languages which will be great if this bug is fixed. For his reason I give you 2 stars. If the bug is fixed you will receive 5 stars! Waiting for you!
