Install 8bit: Camera app on your Windows in 4 steps below:
- Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .
- Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.
- Using 8bit on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:
- Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "8bit"
- The search will reveal the 8bit: Camera app icon. Open, then click "Install".
- Once 8bit is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including 8bit.
- Now enjoy 8bit on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native 8bit Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:
- To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.
- To use 8bit,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "8bit" » then Click "Install".
- 8bit: Camera will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

I love it :D I wish we could upload pics to it THEN it turns to this app, too. Dunno if this is too much to ask for, but it's be awesome if you could record videos in this app, too. These things would make it so much better! c:

This app i absolutely useless. One would expect an 8-bit NES feel out of it, but images resemble more of the ASCII art (unless u r into it). No option to change resolution nor keep it in old school video game resolution mode. Do not recommend, unless u want to make some useless photos.
