What is Multiplier HD?
The Multiplier App is a tool that automates calculations to predict mature height and bone length in children. It was created at the University of Maryland and developed at the International Center for Limb Lengthening. The app reduces the time needed for routine calculations and decreases errors. It provides various calculations for lower and upper extremities, height and CDC growth charts, achondroplasia, fetus, foot, spine, oblique plane deformity, and inclined osteotomy. The app also includes additional resources such as bone age, standard measurements, multiplier formulae, Solomin Foot Analysis, development of bones, bibliography, and user guide.
1. This method was created originally in Baltimore at the University of Maryland, and subsequently developed at the International Center for Limb Lengthening (ICLL), Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopedics (RIAO), Sinai Hospital of Baltimore.
2. You need only input certain data (sex, age, length) and the app will calculate the answer by using the appropriate Multiplier formula.
