Software Features and Description

1. Just press “Piano Lessons”, pick the song you want to learn and he will show you how easy it is to play popular melodies.

2. Learn to play piano the easy way with Piano Apprentice! Piano lesson videos are provided by The Piano Guy, a.k.a. Scott Houston.

3. If you are using the Ion Piano Apprentice keyboard, the notes will light up along with Scott’s hands.

4. Of course you can just have fun playing the piano and making up your own melodies by selecting “Piano Jam”.

5. Or, if you want to learn to read notes, select “Sheet Music” from the home screen.

6. Then, you can choose to watch a basic tutorial on reading notes, or just dive right in to the song of your choice.

7. Speed controls are provided for controlling the playback tempo, so you can learn at your own pace.

8. Start with the Right Hand alone, then the Left.

Install Piano Apprentice app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Piano Apprentice on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Piano Apprentice"
The search will reveal the Piano Apprentice app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Piano Apprentice is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Piano Apprentice.
Now enjoy Piano Apprentice on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Piano Apprentice Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Piano Apprentice,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Piano Apprentice" » then Click "Install".
- Piano Apprentice will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

the app Guy is wonderful and helps me learn to play the the app! He is the Teacher in the App. This App works with the little portable the app, very small and affordable. Great App! Highly recommended!

No way to change ANY settings!!!! You can't make the note last longer, you can't change the key size, and the sheet music shows NO left hand chords!!!!!! AND I REALLY DON'T WANNA WATCH A BORING TUTORIAL!!!!!!! SHALL I ADD THAT NO PHONE TODAY WILL FIT THE PLUG ANYMORE CAUSE THEY NO LONGER MAKE PLUGS THAT WAY ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!😫😤😡
Great with one exception

I just got the Ion the app to go with this app. I've never played a the app before and have found this app to be a great way to learn already. I will say though that the ability to scrub through the videos would be a massive improvement to the experience. I get lost quickly and I'd love to just jump back to anywhere in the videos. Also, it would be great to slow down the sheet music to lower than 60 bpm. Otherwise, great app.
The keyboard isn't as cool as it seems..

I was really excited when I got the keyboard for a Christmas gift. Right from the start I was disappointed. The keyboard does not come with a wall plug even though it has a slot for one. It did come with batteries which I inserted and turned the the app on. The the app does not work at all though unless you have your iPad or iPhone plugged into it and have the app open. I personally thought this was a really lame function. I was hoping to be able to use it to practice playing songs from other books and I still can my iPad just gets in the way though having to be plugged in. Also it doesn't have a headphone jack. My roommates don't want to hear me practice all night. The app it's self is okay. Another thing that bugs me is that while playing songs is that it only shows the notes for the right hand. I've looked everywhere on the app and cannot find left handed notes. What happened Ion?
