Split Screen for Pc

I love this app. I can effortlessly have email opened on the left side of the monitor and any other app on the right. Fits perfectly on the screen every time. I use an LG thunderbolt display, so a lot of screen real estate is available. This app makes use of all that space. Tried an alternative program (can’t remember the name) which gave more options, but that software was not capability with some of the other software, so i had to uninstall. My only recommendation is for the programmers to make this app go completely in the background. The frustrating thing is realizing that you have accidentally QUIT the program, so all your keystrokes do different things which gives odd effects that you aren’t expecting until you try and remember the name of the app and re-open. I have this already as a default startup option, but would like the app hidden (not just put in background), so I can’t easily quit it. Really like this app. Makes me love my mac even more. P.S. FOR THE USERS WHO DON’T WANT TO BUY THIS APP, there is a built in OSX feature that does almost the same thing. Just press and hold the green dot on any window, and it will automatically the app the screen. However, I don’t use that, since it takes the computer into full screen mode which I don’t use most of the time. So, while they do similar things, the OSX feature is not a substitute for this app exactly.

Sometimes I watch youtube/netflix/hulu and use a browser at the same time. Sometimes I use onenote and a browser at the same time. Sometimes I use sublimetext and reference github at the same time. Sometimes I clean data w/ textwrangler and upload data using filezilla or the terminal window at the same time. Etc. etc. This app lets me do all that quickly and efficiently. I’ve been using the splitscreen app almost since it was released, and have yet to find a better solution to using and manipulating two screens/apps at the same time. I introduced it to my colleagues a few years ago and we’ve all been using it since. addendum: I do mostly back-end work, so usually only need one monitor.

I have been using this this app Application for five years now and I have to say that my experience has been great .. Its great for anyone sorting multiple files into groups or writing a reaserch paper .. it’s great for having word open on the Left side of the screen and having reaserch documents on the Right side .. Easily Copy and Paste without having to bounce back and forth between apps since they are side by side on the same screen .. Thats just one example, In my studies I have found many uses for this Application .. The icon in the Menu Bar makes it quick to change between Left, Right or full screen Center, the short cuts are even faster and customizable ..

As stated, I rarely leave reviews but the app asked if I would and I like it enough that I said sure. Here's the bottom line: If you are working off one screen and are constantly tabbing between windows or manually resizing windows to fit both onto your screen, this app will be pure gold for you. This isn't a life changing app or anything. It's just an app that simply and ideally solves a simple but frustrating problem. Every time I use it I think of the friend who recommended it to me and am thankful they did.
