  • Infinite loop when trying to download and use MailChimp Import

By In Infinite loop in Phoenix (Pcmac user)

Update. I figured out why I was in an infinite loop. The window that lists various software to use to import contacts has the this app at the bottom. It says to use this app by downloading from the Apple store. I did this but there is no option given to add my contacts using the this app. So everytime I tried to create a list in the app I kept ending up back at the window listing the import oftware and the app at the bottom. After going in a loop for an hour or so I finally figured it out. What I needed to do was log out of MailChip. Then open the this app. A message came up asking me to allow the software to access my contacts. Then I was able to go to my various mailing lists and select the contacts I wanted to import. It might be a good idea for the app to be able to know when the this app has been downloaded so it will no longer put you back to the import software list. this app should automatically open up when the user is working in the app. If the user changes their mind about using this app there should be an option to select a different one. Once I figured it out it worked great!
  • Basic importer works well

    By Tunedelicious (Pcmac user)

I created a list of over sixty contacts to export from Apple Contacts. After accessing my credentials from the app, I simply dragged and dropped into the export pane of the app. A few seconds later it was uploaded, and confirmed on the the app web site. My only gripe is that this app only transfers the contact's first name, last name and email address. I’d like to import other details from my contact list, like business name, phone number, or whatever, but the app won’t do that. I’d give an extra star if import fields were more flexible.
  • Worked Fine ~names-Doesn’t import phone/address

    By H-g8r (Pcmac user)

This app worked perfectly fine to import the contents of the address books on my mac including both and iCloud and gMail address books. It did give me an error message at the end indicating that it had timed out but 30 minutes later it appeared that all of them had downloaded. Beyond the concerning message, my only quarrel is that it doesn’t import the phone number and address info. I suspect that I could use CSV to do this but I’m settling for the quick and easy.
  • They just stole my money

    By Nart1234 (Pcmac user)

worst experience evr . I used the paid version of mail chimp for 20 minutes .. after i launched my first campaign I get blocked without any explanation then I get an email that tells me to seek another vendor … I asked for a refund or for an access to remove my credit card information as i don’t want them to charge me again , but no answer- they have no phone number and chat customer service and not answering my email . now I owe my boss 25$ and concered about them charging me for nothing next month . I know this company is famouse but this one looks like a scam .
