  • So close, yet so far...

    By Media Amoretti (Pcmac user)

This application is exactly what i need, i have an office with 6 the app cameras, and all macs. this app was easy to install and set up, i got all 6 cameras installed within minutes… however, i cannot use this application for more than 1-2 minutes on a brand new 27" imac i7 quad core with 8gb of ram without my computer freezing - i watched my memory usage as i opened the application, and i was down to 32mb ram available (from 8gb) within 3 minutes! i would have rated this app 5 stars even without multiscreen display if it were not for the memory leak problem… UPDATE: i wrote an email to the support address listed here, and they promply replied, saying that the issue had been identified, and they'd just submitted an update to apple. gotta like that! +1 star for support, i'll be back once the update is available. UPDATE: the app replied again to my support email saying that the new version with the memory leak had been released. I downloaded it, opened up 6 cameras and let them sit for over an hour and my memory usage was normal. Problem solved, 5 STARS!
  • Acceptable

This doesn't support the the app 241Q server. Using a different camera driver (231) I can see the image from the first of four cameras connected to the server, but not the other three. (Support for this is not promised, so it isn't really a complaint.) It displays a very coarse image (lots of jaggies) when I know that the cameras are providing much better resolution. It really is just a minimal camera viewer.
  • Will not work at all on Axis cams!

    By ScottM 5443 (Pcmac user)

I have emailed support but not got a return email, it has been 5 days. I'll I get it can not connect to camera. I can view the camera in firefox, safari and google chrome for this computer, but not within the app. Do not download, not worth the cost!
  • Don't Bother….

    By mtnick (Pcmac user)

This app doesn't support any of the high end the app cameras. I was able to add some unsupported cameras, but it only displays a few seconds of video before the app diconnects from the camera. Unfortunatly there don't seem to be any worthwhile ip camera apps on the Mac app store.
