Software Features and Description

1. Tap the music staff to see the note, its name, and slide position, PLUS hear its sound.

2. Once you get the hang of it, increase the tempo, and for an extra challenge hide the note names and fingerings.

3. Notes are for a tenor trombone in bass clef and range from E below the staff to high F above the staff.

4. Trombone+ is an interactive fingering chart for tenor trombone.

5. In settings, change the tempo of the animated songs.

6. Or, tap out a melody on the staff just for fun.

7. Use it to look up a note.

Install Trombone+ app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Trombone+ on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Trombone+"
The search will reveal the Trombone+ app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Trombone+ is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Trombone+.
Now enjoy Trombone+ on PC.

This has been very helpful for my beginning 5th grader. Two suggestions, however: It is very easy to hit the wrong note as the spacing of the staff lines are quite close together. It would seem a simple fix to make it easier for those of us with fat fingers (although before using this app, I never considered my fingers to be particularly fat!). Second: it would be nice if the note would play for a longer period of time-- perhaps so that a student could match their note with the actual note coming from the app. Other than that, a good program for 99¢.

It's great that this app has a lot of features for just 99 cents, but the problem I have with it is that there is no sound when I tap on a note on my iPad 2. Only if this is fixed would I give a five star rating.
High Notes!
