How to download and install Snapseed on your Laptop or Desktop computer

4 Rating: 4 - 10,346 votes

If you want to install and use the Snapseed app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use Snapseed for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: Snapseed for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Snapseed in the search bar and press Search. Click on Snapseed application icon. A window of Snapseed on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the Snapseed icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: Snapseed for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use Snapseed for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

No way to contact developers to report issues. Wasted countless hours editing photos to find them reverted the next morning.
  • Dear google, Snapseed is almost perfect, but...

I would’ve preferred a darker background for editing, it’s easier on the eyes. All other tools are spot on except shadow recovery... what is wrong with the shadows slider??? Images break and have this nasty hue past 50%. Lightroom never had this problem and recovers shadows perfectly. Snapseed is part of my main workflow and I don’t think I’m switching editing softwares anytime soon, please update and fix this issue!!

Having edited dozens of photos last night and finding them all reverted to their originals this morning left me no choice but to rate this one star, even as a longtime Snapseed user. Whether it’s Apple’s problem or Google’s problem, please fix.
  • Edits not saved - looking for a replacement app

I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app twice to solve this issue - you spend hours editing your photos, you think everything is fine...two hours later all your photos return to original, and all your work edits / gone.
  • Ugh! Edits are reverting back!!!

I love this App but recently all my edits I’ve made on the 100+ vacation photos (hours of work!!!) reverted back over a few days period. Please fix ASAP!!!!
  • Stopped Saving Edits

Loved using this app until it stopped saving edits a few days ago.. All of my sons birthday photos have reverted back to their original state after hours of careful editing. This app is useless until fixed. Please address this, will be waiting for an update. Update: It has been one month since this issue surfaced and still no resolution. I’ve patiently waited for an update, but the only one they have put out is “support for iPhone X”. Completely disappointed. I see I am not the only one having this issue that makes this app useless, yet the developers have yet to address it. Will be uninstalling in the near future.

If I grant access to all my photos, does google do racial recognition on all of them and add to their database ?
