  • Eh

I look for sports info and updates. Since there are really no more shows on NBCSports Philly (whatever it’s called now - the channel that used to be CSN Philly) like Philly Sports the discussion show at 5pm that started as Daily News Live, I am disappointed in general that they now only have the respective team’s pre-and post game shows. Don’t get me wrong, as a whole, I do feel THOSE shows are good, and I also applaud having the Mike Missanelli show simulcast. I guess my point is I think the thought process here was to have this App kind of fill in the blanks of what they no longer have available on TV, but I don’t think it does that very effectively. I think, in general, the app is more difficult to use than it needs to be, and it has become more of a chore finding the actual articles written and news, without having to search through the videos and fluff posts. Overall I feel like this “My Teams” version of the same original app has gone significantly in the wrong direction; by adding “bells and whistles” but losing actual substance.
  • User interface needs work

    By Trader jean (Pcmac user)

I would rather have the older version for watching games on my iPad. This version works sometimes and then it does not for whatever reason saying that I am not authorized to watch???? No controls other than pause when watching a live feed, so no jump forward back or scroll controls. The User interface needs a home screen to that you can toggle to the team you want to follow. You cannot reorder the teams without deleting the application and starting over as with all of the controls. There are no controls. If you need to log into your cable provider, there is no indicator for that or even a way to check if you are already logged in. Great idea, just missing the tools that an application like this needs so that the user can navigate it. Where is a settings menu or something. Why should I have to scroll thru the 49ers stuff when they are out of season. I should not have to scroll to see team, just select their icon from a home screen....please.
  • Good when it works which is maybe 50% of the time

    By superSteveT (Pcmac user)

The My Teams app has potential to be really good but it’s not good right now. Almost every time I use it to watch my teams it falls into a loop and repeats a sequence over and over until I force close the app and restart. If it’s not doing the loop issue then it’s telling the content is not available in my area, because for whatever reason it’s apparently lost my valid account info for DirecTV. One time I was able to go into the settings and sign out and back in but tonight it wouldn’t let me sign back in. If the app developers can make this app user friendly and fix the bugs, it’ll be good. Until then, it’s 50/50 that I’ll get to watch my team. Either offer an app that works or remove it, but please stop wasting our time.
  • Whack-a-mole

    By Ty211221 (Pcmac user)

This has to be the worst sports app. Every time one problem gets fixed another pops up. I almost always have to force close the app after reading an article in order to read the next article or watch the next video. Additionally, a pop up saying I can’t view a game or video because I’m not in the viewing area (which I certainly am). After talking to my cable company like three times, they say it’s the app, and based on my experience with it that doesn’t surprise me. I also routinely get prompts to rate the app even after clicking the “don’t ask again” or whatever the option is to stop receiving them. I reached out to technical support and they said they can’t do anything about it. I’m not talking like a prompt once or twice a week it usually happens at least once every day or so. I guess I just have to keep leaving one star reviews until someone figures it out 🤷‍♀️
