Simple but Very Effective!

The app locates courses through google maps. It has every course well organized, which is good because you don't want to be spending time search or typing course info all day. It provides a nice aerial view/fly by of each hole. Nice touch! You can easily plan your next shot through the interface that overlaps the google map and calculates the distances for you. Most importantly, you can preset your 'golf bag' with your clubs and the average distances you hit with each club just in case you can't remember when your on the course. It will also provide a recommendation of which club to use based on the distance needed to land the green. Lastly, you can email your friends the scorecard for some well earned bragging rights! Solid app! Check it out!

Very good, but needs more stats.

I have used the the app app, as well as Golflogix's. I prefer the way the app visually triangulated distances to landmarks, landing area and green. I also prefer the real video flyover from the app, vs the animation provided by Golflogix. Both apps do a good job of tracking distances hit with clubs, and in keeping score. But, Golflogix allows you to keep other stats, like Fairways Hit. It also allows you to describe the direction of your fairway misses. Golflogix also gives Greens in Regulation. the app doesn't, though you can figure it out based on hole score and putts. If this app gave GIR AND fairways hit (with direction of misses), I would DEFINITELY upgrade to the full version.

I play golf at least 3-4 times a week. I have found that my smart phone with the right golf app very useful. I have tried many, purchased some and some after I purchased was highly disappointed. I was lucky to run across the app and I must admit. A one time cost is perfect. This app does what it says it will do. Very easy to go through the screens and keep pace with your golf game. I would highly recommend this app to my friends and aquaintence 's.
