What is Air Display?

Air Display is an app that allows you to use a spare Mac as an extra display for your main Mac. You can connect wirelessly or with a cable, and it's easy to use. The app allows you to drag windows, apps, or control palettes from your main screen to give yourself more room to work. You can use up to 4 devices simultaneously to extend or mirror your computer. The app can run either full-screen or in a window, and you can either extend your screen to get more room to work or mirror to share your screen with an audience.

1. Just install the free Air Display host app (from avatron.com/gethost) on your main Mac, and download this Air Display client app on your second Mac.

2. Air Display for iOS is available in the iTunes App Store (and you’ll still need the same free host software on your main computer).

3. IMPORTANT: This is NOT the free Air Display host software that you need on your main computer.

4. It's easy to use! Just launch this app on your spare Mac, then connect to it from the free host app on your main Mac, to instantly expand its screen real estate.

Download and install the Air Display® app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Air Display on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Air Display"
The search will reveal the Air Display® app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Air Display is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Air Display.
Now enjoy Air Display on PC.

To get Air Display on Windows 11, check if there's a native Air Display Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing Air Display:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Air Display" » Click "Install" to install Air Display®
- Air Display® will now be available on your windows start-menu.

Great app, great support

I purchased version 2 last week, and had some issues. I contacted the developer's support email, and Pip in Tech Support put in an embarrassing amount of time with me. Just a few days later, they released a new version that addressed my issues. It works great! My MacBook Pro is now a two-screen workstation when I use my iMac screen as a monitor. It's pretty awesome really.
Does not work very well.

I was expecting, after reading the reviews here, that a thunderbolt 3 connection between my iMac Pro and my MacBook Pro would be fine to resolve the lag. Nope. The screen (an extension of my iMac Pro on my MacBook Pro) was horribly laggy. Every 3 seconds or so it would freeze for a second, and then unfreeze. Totally unsuitable for anything other than basic text editing - and even then I wouldn't reccomend it. Worst 20$ ever spent.
Waste of money

I purchased this so I could use my iMac as a monitor for the laptop without having to buy special cables. Instead of linking them together It automatically paired with my coworkers laptop and drove us nuts. I immediately uninstalled the program. A complete waste of my money and time. I would not recommend this for an office situation at all. UGH.

I installed and it opens up a help file that tells me to go to their website and download more stuff. Doesn't explain things well and I'm annoyed as #$%^ dealing with this software. HOST AND CLIENT. Got it. Not a simple process and at the least update your help file / image so it doesn't like look like a 16 color gif file.
