Wow, this is fantastic...

I adore this game. This is easily one of the very best platformers I've come across on iphone. There were some issues with the jump button, but they have been addressed in the new update. The way the jump button functions can now be toggled between "bounce" (hold the jump button, and the app jumps continuously) and "single" (the more traditional option; one press = one jump). It's not a complete fix. I still believe the "bounce" method of jumping could be improved, if not perfected (there are times where "bouncing" is invaluable). But it's a good option if "bounce" is giving you problems. And finally, while I do like the audio track, a little more variety to the music would be nice. Anyway, this is a great game. A must buy if you like platformers.
Lots of fun

This game is insanely addicting. I was initially hesitant about getting it since there were only 25 levels and I polished off the lite version of the game pretty quickly, but the game increases with difficultly and you can't advance to the later stages without getting a certain number of goals from the previous levels (speed runs, finding the skull, ect). The level designs and music are great, and the throwback graphics are a really nice touch. My only complaint about the game is that I occasionally hit the iPad button when meaning to go left and exit the game (though I prefer the arrow key controls over the other type). Anyway, if you enjoyed the lite version of the game, it's worth checking out the full version.
Flawed controls

For a game like this where precise timing is the difference between a speed run and death, you need great controls. It's tough to do on the iPhone, but League of Evil showed that it's entirely possible, even during speed run death traps. this app fails in this regard, dropping an otherwise awesome game down to a mediocre three stars. This could be partially fixed in d-pad mode by recognizing any taps on the right side of the screen as a jump attempt, rather than limiting to taps that precisely hit the jump button. Otherwise, the retro TV look is a nice touch, the challenges are good, and the game seems like it could be as addictive as the aforementioned League of Evil. Unfortunately, with these controls, it falls short.
Fiendishly difficult and addicting platformer

I have completed the game (all skulls, coins, etc) and its a great retro platformer/speed runner. Coming from Mikey Shorts I have to say I prefer Mikey's look. the app's look just doesnt appeal to me as much. Also, it takes too long after dying to retry. Mikey has a literally one tap retry button. Still, good speed run game and it's fun finding the skulls. Controls are spot on but you can tell the achievements were codes before the last batch of levels came out. Also, the web levels are a good concept but there is no way to view your past progress on them. Bummer.
