Once your turntable is connected to your Mac, you NEED this app. I’ve converted about 200 albums, and am still going strong. The interface isn’t the most Mac-like (he has a Windows version as well), but it’s pretty easy to get in and get going. Developer is very responsive (thanks for the 64-bit version!). My favorite things about VS: 1) Non-destructive editing: Record once--try different equalizer settings, obliterate scratches or leave them in for ambiance--your original recording remains unchanged. 2) Add metadata—enter artist & album title, then you can download track names, track durations, track artists, and album covers directly into the program if they are available online. You can also add realease date, genre, label, composer, conductor, comments, and album notes if you have it. (I like to search discogs, add albums in CDpedia first, then I have all the fine-tuned tags ready for VS) 3) Lots of options for recording (I chose aiff) and export file formats (I like mp3, with all that good track info you added!) Great to have easy access to all those beloved albums again. Well worth the price. Heartily recommended!

I’ve recorded vinyl in Logic pro and audacity in the past, and this illiminates all of the tedius work. I have a nice pro-ject usb with a few upgrades, running through an appogee interface, and loving this app. Only complaint, after having to pause a single track, I went to start the recording over. I deleted the track as highlighted as the only one to delete, and it cleared my whole album. This is the first error I’ve encountered, unfortunately it was during a recording of a box set, side G. Also, even with the cleanup features, I reccomend getting a decent record cleaner for the older or used ones. Otherwise I’m stoked to be able to convert a lot of vinyl, and enjoying the listening and organization process. Also a great way to know exactly what you have!

This is far and away the most outstanding, easiest way to digitize my 78’s, 33-1/3s, 45’s, and tapes. So easy! I worked for the longest time in Logic Pro X (my music production software) to design a template that would do this very thing, and while it’s possible, I wasted far too much time trying to accomplish the task. What I came up with in Logic Pro X was ultimately not satisfactory, and a quick search of the app store revealed this fantastic app. So easy! I search high and low for my records, and value each one of them. I listen to them so often that it’s better to digitize them so I don’t wear them out and I can listen when away from home. HIGHLY recommended.

I have long been an avid vinyl record collector, but I have been hesitant to digitize my collection. However, Vinyl Studio makes this process a lot easier than I imagined. The app allows you to look up record listings, so that you can easily match your songs (this saves a tremdous amount of time). The app includes many features, including the ability to separate tracks, remove clicks, add album cover art, import pre-recorded soundtracks, and a whole lot more. The best part about this app is that it makes it super easy to add your recordings to iTunes and iCloud. I highly recommend it.
