  • TERRIBLE

    By Pelias808 (Pcmac user)

Very difficult to work with, minimal support!
  • Almost good software

    By metaphorce (Pcmac user)

The price is great, the implementation is almost useful. Clunky interface. Miserable, imprecise and skimpy manual. And some procedures described in the manual simply don't work. Hard to get it to do things easily. Like for instance, the manual claims you can enter a note several different ways, but in fact you have to use two of the methods at once to get anything. It takes too many clicks to accomplish a simple task like placing a note on the right line at the right duration. You can enter a note from the piano keyboard display, but only after you've clicked the place you want it with the mouse, so that's two clicks to enter the note. (And the keyboard does not play the note aloud as you click it... why leave that out?) And if you enter another note on the piano keyboard, it will try to make it into a chord with the first note you placed, so if you want to keep entering the melody line, you have to click the mouse on the next space before entering the note... So forget about "playing" the song on the piano display, because you have to go back to the staff to place each and every note. Clunky. Dumb. Not how people work. So, this is real close to being a good app, but as it stands, you pay for the low price in dis-ease of use.
  • Needs work but certainly a step in the right direction

    By Noah Sias (Pcmac user)

I got this app with the hope of finding a replacement for GuitarPro 5 without having to pay the price for GuitarPro 6. For $9.99 this app is definitely is worth the purchase. However, there are some noticeable things that the developer(s) should take note of. For starters, fix the link to the forums. Its disheartening to be brought to a broken link. Secondly, there are some bugs going in between instruments and going through various tool windows that result in either having to reopen the program or having the program crash. Lastly, there are no indications of what some of the icons stand for. It would be nice to have the option to hold the mouse over an icon and have something come up to say what it is. Aside from the noticeable things, I personally have a couple requests out of the app. MIDI exporting options Playback when inputting notes Easier accessibility to instrument configurations I am very excited to see where this app goes with updates. Its awesome having a means of tabbing out my 8 string compositions on one track rather than two!
  • Not a bad guitar tab editor

    By Jpryan9191 (Pcmac user)

It does what it says; it reads in guitar pro and power tab files and plays them back. Has a midi-playback engine (lightweight). Pretty simple. One feature i'd like to see added is the fretboard and keyboard views actually show the notes being played as the tab is playing. For example, if i'm playing a song on the editor I'd like to see it being "played" on the fretboard. This is a pretty common feature for most tab editors. Also the tempo data gets messed up sometimes. A song I was playing was being played too slow soo i had to edit the BPM to get it to the right speed.
