1. There are 3 ways to scan barcodes and have items added to Booxter Lite.

2. Booxter Lite is a free app that helps you track your collections of books, music, movies and comics on your Mac.

Download and install the Booxter Lite app on your Windows 10,8,7 or Mac in 4 simple steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks Pc or Mac software Here >> .

Install the emulator on your PC or Mac:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Booxter Lite on PC [Windows 7/ 8/8.1/ 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Booxter Lite"
The search will reveal the Booxter Lite app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Booxter Lite is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Booxter Lite.
Now enjoy Booxter Lite on PC.

How to download and use Booxter Lite App on Windows 11

To get Booxter Lite on Windows 11, check if there's a native Booxter Lite Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

Installing Booxter Lite:
- Login to your computer's PlayStore or Amazon AppStore.
- Search for "Booxter Lite" » Click "Install" to install Booxter Lite
- Booxter Lite will now be available on your windows start-menu.

For all modern collections, OK

I downloaded the Lite version as a way of checking out the full application. I own a lot of books without bar codes, or even ISBNs. But the search feature on the app seems limited to searching by ISBN or LCCN (Library of Congress Catalog number). As a result, 2 of the 3 books I tried to enter as a trial required me to manually enter title, author, etc. By contrast, Delicious Library allowed search by just title and got all three books correct immediately. Based on the fact that I have a lot of old used books, I couldn't really recommend this program very strongly. It would take me forever to enter my collection. What's nice is that it does search the Library of Congress (but again, only with numbers).
ITunes-like software for Books, Movies, etc

Ive been looking for years for an iTunes-like software that can help me organize ALL my media (not just music). This software does just that. It excels for books and movies. the app still needs better comic book capabilities, but despite that, it is an amazing program - a new standard, really
Doesn't work or doesn't work well

I tried setting up a comic book library. After using the scan from camera funciton, I have 3 invisible comics in my library. All the same book. I can't see any books, but it assures me there are three in my library. Then I figured I'd give the program a fair chance and I also created a books library. It got the first book completely wrong. I was hoping this would be the app to finally help with my comics and was prepared to buy the full version if the Lite worked well. But it didn't. So… I'm done. Deleted. Moving on.

Great trial version, hit the 30 entry limit before I knew it. Had some issues initially with scanning barcodes via iSight, but found I was holding the code too close to the camera. Worked much better and faster once I held it farther back. Works great in conjunction with the free iPhone app for scanning!
