What is iGlide Lite?

iGlide is a soaring navigation app designed for glider pilots to support them during competitions, cross-country flights, or recreational flights. It comes in three editions at different price points, and all apps can be upgraded later on by paying the price difference in an in-app-purchase. The app offers features such as a final glide calculator, airspace warnings, flight statistics, live tracking, and more.

Install iGlide Lite app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using iGlide Lite on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "iGlide Lite"
The search will reveal the iGlide Lite app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once iGlide Lite is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including iGlide Lite.
Now enjoy iGlide Lite on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use iGlide Lite,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "iGlide Lite" » then Click "Install".
- iGlide Lite will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

- Simulator for replaying IGC files is clunky

The app could be improved by showing the track flown, i.e. both out and return in addition to the track displayed to a destination. This is would be particularly useful while flying in blue wave.

This app is very nice, it’s great for airspace awareness and has a voice alert. I have upgraded to the advance version so I could get winds aloft. I’ve also added the WiFi connect device to use my C302 data directly in the app. I see comments on how difficult it is to use, but honestly I don’t see anything that’s tricky about this software. I created a polar version for my glider, and only download the maps you need. I use it on a 5c iPhone because it fits next to my panel. Highly recommend!
Works great with Air Connect Wi-Fi to iPhone

I purchased this app, liked it, and upgraded to the app Pro. On my iPhone 6S, the moving map has good brightness, contrast and resolution. In flight, my Cambridge 302 digital vario sends data to my iPhone via Air Avionic's 'Air Connect' Wi-Fi interface unit. Works great!
Nice, but limited

Nice app, but limited in lite form. Go-to flights only, no drag-and-drop route planning (advertised on Butterfly the app editions page). Maps are huge, but gorgeous on iphone 4 Retina display, fuzzy on non-Retina iPad. I'd give the lite version 5-stars if it would replay IGC files - the simulator is clunky. With a couple of revisions, it should be very nice.
