To get started, Download the OpenPC software »

Really like but...

I really like this! It will be much easier for my to track participation and behavior. I just started getting it set up this weekend and haven’t started using it yet. The one thing I noticed right off the bat was it takes too many clicks to record information. I will have to take my eye off the students for too long. Especially, if I have to record for several students.

I rarely do reviews, and when I do they are critical...however this is a good app! I've been thru a dozen "attendance" apps and this one is the most stable. I'd love to offer it up to other youth pastors I know...however I'd like to point out a couple of potential upgrade ideas. 1. The entire opening screen seems to be wasted space. If you were able to display a break down of stats on attendance, or notification of consecutive absences on that screen...wow that would be awesome. 2. When I click "Students" and then a students name...I get nothing. I'd have to click again to see phone, email, etc. It would be more user friendly to click a name and see all info for that student. Just saying. 3. Finally, a field to paste a live URL that can be clicked. This could allow a teacher to go straight to the students Facebook for contact? Maybe that's being picky. But the first two suggestions are legit. Especially that opening screen. Gotta change that up. Gives an ugly, dull feel to the app. Otherwise....GREAT job so far. I hope to see updates, and more feedback. If that home screen was a dashboard of stats, I'd pay $9.99 for this app EASILY!

Hello? Anytime I try to email myself the template it closes out. If I go to send an email... it says my device isn’t configured. If I go to the webpage it takes me through a ton of steps but never actually lets me send an email. Very frustrating!

I've only been using the program for a week but, so far, it's fantastic. I can already see that this little program has the potential to improve my behavior tracking (and home communication) dramatically. Rather than needing to keep track of all the various reward/consequence slips we have at our school ( "Way To Be!" cards, "Uh-Oh!" cards, behavior tracking slips, etc), now I have it all at my fingertips, customizable to exactly what I need. And, more importantly, communicating to parents about positive/negative behavior is no longer a separate chore I have to find time for (and usually forget to do in a timely manner). Now, with a few more button pushes, the behavior I'm already tracking is sent home in an email and I can get on with my business--teaching my students. One wish I have is that there was a way to customize a default email template. The current one is so sterile that I have to stop and add a message, or change the formatting -- which makes it less "automatic". I would really like to be able to add a default message, even if it were no more than "Hi! Here's how Johnny's day went today...". How this feature comes soon. On the whole, two thumbs up. And I've played with the randomized feature for only a few minutes so far, but I think it will be a big help for forming groups on the fly. Great job!
