Install Final Freeway app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Great Game with a stupid flaw!

The gameplay is great! It is old school racing at it's best! The only real flaw I have found with this Outrun clone has nothing to do with gameplay. The flaw is the fact that the letter "w" does not exist on the enter initials high score screen!
I guess the letter "w" is to the alphabet what the planet Pluto was to the solar system! I miss my middle initial! I hope they return the letter "w" in the next update along with some car choices and additional levels.

That's 5 retro arcade OutRun reminiscing thumbs up!!! SEGA could probably have a court case because this game is so like my childhood fav, "Out Run" I forget I'm playing a 3rd party knock off!
It plays FANTASTIC. very realistic to how the old scrolling racers played, -----graphics 10
-music/sfx (with changeable radio stations) 10

-fun factor 10
This game won't be for everyone, people expecting something like modern day NFS, or Asphalt 5 racing games will hate it, but for kids that grew up on 16 bit Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and 80's coin op racers, this is Perfect.
Since Taito doesn't seem to have any interest in developing Chase HQ for the iPhone, please make a faithful Miami Vice themed / 80's Chase H.Q. Game next. I would literally pay u to make it.

Not that good

I remember playing cruising USA and out run and I must say that this game does not feel like either one of them and only looks like it until you start driving: the framerate seems really choppy (seems like it's meant to be that way) and it doesn't feel like you are driving, it feels as though you are sitting still and just moving the background to align the road with the car.
Please take my word when I say this is not an outrun clone and if it's meant to be then it is in awful one at that.

Awesome throwback

I loved Outrun, and that seems to be exactly what this is. Its always fun to load it up and swerve in an out of cars and around corners for a quick escape. This doesnt have all the fancy graphics of other ipad racers but thats not why i love this game. It is a great replica of Outrun. if you ever had one moment of enjoyment playing that game, then is $.99 really too much to relive that fun?
