If you want to install and use the Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker in the search bar and press Search. Click on Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker application icon. A window of Flightradar24 | Flight Tracker on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

HOW IT WORKS Most aircraft today are equipped with ADS-B transponders that transmit positional data. Flightradar24 has a rapidly growing network of 20,000 ground stations around the world to receive this data that then shows up as aircraft moving on a map in the app. In an expanding number of regions, with the help of multilateration, we’re able to calculate the positions of aircraft that don’t have ADS-B transponders. Coverage in North America is also supplemented by real-time radar data. Coverage is variable and subject to change at any time. CONNECT WITH FLIGHTRADAR24 We love getting feedback on FR24. As a flight enthusiast it’s a valuable app to have, showing not only the live traffic but good information on aircraft (depending on which category you purchase). From daily use I have learnt a few aircraft characteristics.
  • Massive downgrade from the old app

Don’t you hate “upgrades” that make a good app into junk? This is one of those. Useless, rarely functions properly, more than once it didn’t catch flight changes. Use this app and you’ll risk missing your flight.
  • Thanks you for this app

As a gold service subscriber, this is the best app on the App Store to spot planes on the go. There’s not 1 day in which I never use this app. I have to open it everyday to see inbound and outbound planes from my nearest airport. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because it’s poorly optimized for the new 11” iPad. It doesn’t take advantage of the full screen leaving black bezels on the top and bottom screen, which is quite annoying. Other than that, if this app is updated to take advantage of the new iPad screens, it will definitely receive a 5 star review.

I see planes take off from SFO and watch them fly by my house on their way to Europe. Got the controller on YouTube and I have listened to the the controller and pilot as I watched on flightradar24. FedEx and UPS take off from Oakland in the morning. I hear them as fly by my house. I take a peak at flightradar24 and see who is going by.

Right after I paid for the old version I found out they discontinued it and moved to the new version. New version seems nice, ethics of the company, not so much. At least give the people who bought the old version a year for free instead of pretending to have the customer in mind and telling them to go scratch.
  • An amazing lil app!

Love the AR feature, though it takes awhile for new flights to show up there. Ads are not annoying, barely noticeable.
  • Difficult to find a flight

I usually keep in mind the average time of departure and a company, not the flight number. When I search by ”from to” criteria, the app shows me a long list of flights without a schedule. I have to click on a flight from this list to get this information. Right now I tried to find a flight from Dallas to Philadelphia by AA departing in around an hour, got a list, clicked a few flights, did not see mine, closed this app and opened Flight Tracker. Dr;tl: the app either has bad GUI or very limited free version
