What is Sylo Synthesiser? Sylo Synthesiser is a music app that allows users to create their own sounds and music using pre-designed sounds or by designing new sounds from scratch. The app features live time-stretching technology based on granular synthesis and a suite of filters. It also supports Core MIDI, allowing users to play music from another device via MIDI. Users can import audio files, save recordings, and save new instruments to the preset list for quick access.

Software Features and Description

1. Please note: The microphone button in Sylo Synthesiser is for recording sound into the synth, to use as the basis for new instruments — not for making a permanent record of what you play! (We've heard from a couple of people confused about this so we thought we'd make it clear!) If you wish to record your performances, you can use the Record button in the toolbar for this purpose.

2. Sylo Synthesiser allows you to play music, or create sound effects, using sounds you can design yourself.

3. Sylo Synthesiser also supports Core MIDI: play music from another device via MIDI.

4. Sylo Synth includes a collection of pre-designed sounds which you can use as they are, tweak them to your heart's desire, or you can make new sounds from scratch.

5. Then, tinker with Sylo Synthesiser's filters and other settings to make a sound all your own.

6. Build sounds from basic waveforms, or capture them from the world around you using the iPad's built-in microphone.

Install Sylo Synthesiser app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Sylo Synthesiser on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Sylo Synthesiser"
The search will reveal the Sylo Synthesiser app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Sylo Synthesiser is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Sylo Synthesiser.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Sylo Synthesiser,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Sylo Synthesiser" » then Click "Install".
- Sylo Synthesiser will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

This is the best grain "anything" ..that I've used. Sample something ...then process it ! Fantastic!I literally I use this app on every sound design project in my studio and on jobs for clients. It's a major part of my tool kit ....the most useful grain synth ever! Not kidding it's amazing! But it needs audio buss like a million years ago!peace christo

I so wish the app had a better midi integration with the rest of the synth apps on my iPad. and like another reviewer said ... Audiobus support. the app was one of the first synth apps I put on my iPad and an early introduction to grain synthesis. you can have hours of entertainment and post production level audio with this app, but there is a very strong need to allow it to "play nicely" with Thor, iMini, Patterning, iSEM, Animoog, etc ... maybe this app is in a phase-out due to mitosynth - I dunno - but if that issue is worked on its 5 stars, seeing that the UI is very simple and there's virtually no learning curve - your kids will LOVE IT!!

I don't know why all the past reviews give this synth a lower rating. I find that for a free synth(lite)it's probably one of the best on the app store. I have not upgraded to the pro version and I feel that the addition of recording performances and copy/paste alone make the upgrade worth it. It only took me a few moments to get acquainted with the apps controls and I have had no issues getting dirty dirt from the filters. If you are a fan of sample synthesis this app deserves a download and a five star rating. If you don't have any idea how to twiddle knobs to coax sound then I say pass. Don't bring down a great synth just because 'you don't get it'. The synth rundown flawless and does what it claims to with plenty of options even in the lite version. The only issue/feature I would like is in the waveform 'window' it allows you to pinch to zoom and scroll the wave but for what reason,there really is none other then to see all the peaks and valleys. It would be a great addition to allow us to trim the samples in this window since it seems that half of the process is already there we are just missing a couple of bars to narrow down the sample. Perhaps this is a feature in the pro version but it makes no mention of it so at this time it is a request and if I upgrade and find the function available then I will update my review. Later.
