Install Sun Scout app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:
Get either Bluestacks or the Nox App >> . We recommend Bluestacks because you can easily find solutions online if you run into problems while using it. Download Bluestacks PC software Here >> .

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using Sun Scout on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "Sun Scout"
The search will reveal the Sun Scout app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once Sun Scout is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including Sun Scout.
Now enjoy Sun Scout on PC.

For Windows 11, check if there's a native Sun Scout Windows app here » ». If none, follow the steps below:

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use Sun Scout,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "Sun Scout" » then Click "Install".
- Sun Scout will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

WORKS, BUT ONLY FOR DATES OF THEIR CHOOSING

Their website FAQ says: "Does this app let me see the the app for days other than today? Absolutely. You can tell this app the date in the year that you are interested in. You can't yet set a specific custom date, but we expect to add this as a feature provided there is demand." SO, I'm confused…You CAN tell it the date you're interested in (HOW?), BUT YOU CANNOT YET SET A SPECIFIC DATE. ???? And: $9.99 is WAY too expensive and they say you should calibrate it every day.
Seems to be working now on iOS 9 and iPhone 6S

So excited to have this working again. It's the easiest app I've found for scouting for future date and the app location. Great for time lapse sunrise and sunset, but also excellent for scouting filming locations and impact of the app for time of day.
Needs calibration adjustment

I like the ease of use. Simple for what it is intended. I think $10 is a bit too high for allowing only 1 function. Another app like star wall has similar function with AR view and offers much more other info. The the app position does not quite align with my view. I think if a calibration tool exists it would be much better. Something like you move the overlay the app to where the the app actually is and hit calibrate.... Does not work with ios13. Please update.

Simply put the app-Scout is a must have for any level of photography and videography. As a wedding and commercial photographer I’ve used this app countless times over the past 6 years - it’s paid for itself time and time again.
