Software Features and Description

1. The Disfluency Index Counter app allows Speech and Language Therapists to perform a live count of the number of fluent or disfluent syllables.

2. A live track of the total number of syllables recorded is shown on the main screen as well as the number of fluent and disfluent syllables/words entered.

3. The simple version of the Disfluency Index Counter uses two simple buttons that record the amount of times the SLP pushes the buttons.

4. The advanced counter allows therapists to specifically identify the types of disfluencies exhibited by the client.

5. This application comes with two styles of counters: A simple and an advanced counter.

6. The easiest, cheapest and most advanced way to track your %SS (Percentage of stuttered syllables).

7. Speech Therapists can easily e-mail or print the results to themselves.

8. There is an "F" button for a Fluency Syllable & and a "D" button for a disfluent/stuttered syllable.

9. Once you are finished with your data collection you press "Done" to see the results.

10. The SLP can choose from Block, Prolongation or Repetition.

Love this app for tracking data during a session or when evaluating. I also like how I can just tap to count disfluencies which is less distracting for the student.
Great...but...

I really think this app is great, but please allow the user to input the client's name. Right now there is no way to determine progress from past data and current data, not even with the TRC. I have several fluency clients and this additional information would be invaluable. Thank you for great apps and for your consideration in this matter.
Great tallying for SSI

I used the camera app on my iphone to video my patients who stutter. When it comes to tallying their disfluencies for the ipad, I used both devices at the same time. It was super easy, and the percentage is calculated at the bottom. Very easy.
