Software Features and Description

1. Use it to create to do lists, make grocery lists, take notes, write an outline of a story, prepare notes for a presentation, make a list of gift ideas, plan a vacation... or anything else you'd want to make a list for.

2. For checklists and todo lists, many people prefer using Paperless over traditional "getting things done" apps - or, they use it in addition to one.

3. Other apps presented a kind of novelty; I could fool myself into thinking that I was more organized, but it was never long before I abandoned them because it was obvious that they consumed unnecessary time.

4. Paperless is a simple but powerful app for making lists.

5. "After having tried a good deal of apps to get myself more organized - both free and paid - it is clear that this tops them all.

6. There are no due dates or priority settings, so you're left to focus on the actual tasks at hand, rather than waste time changing those settings when your priorities change.

7. Each list can either be a checklist or a regular list without checkboxes, making a wide variety of uses possible.

8. Automatically backup your lists and sync them between iOS devices via a free Dropbox account.

9. "I've been trying many To Do apps since iPhone 1.0 -- from the expensive Things to Toodledo and others -- and I don't use any of them regularly.

10. Instead, if a particular task becomes important, you can simply move it to the top of the list.

  • Tipped!

    By triskaideka (Pcmac user)

I’m a VERY visual person, so the colorful, icon rich design of these lists really help me stay organized & engaged with my tasks & notes. I use this app probably more than any other on my phone(!) for everything from silly projects to Must Do tasks. I love it so much I've never been able to switch to any other “to-do” app & trust me I've tried them all. Even tho I wish there was a way to add images & subtasks, this design is Still My Favorite & keeps me coming back. I know the same developer has another app more sophisticated than this one, with features that would be nice to have, but I’m really attached to this design. When it fits, it just…fits, ya know? So it's this app for me all the way. I’m very glad to finally have a way to give an additional tip (via latest update) to the developer because I never want this app to fade into the void! I rely on it. Thanks!
  • It's great

Correction! Are used to think it was great, until it asked me to re-link with dropbox and lost all of my list that I've been making over the past three years and rely heavily upon. I can't find any way to get it back from dropbox, assuming it's even there. Apparently you can back it up to there, but there's no apparent way to get it back. So for now, forget the glowing praise that I wrote before: I use it for absolutely everything from phone numbers and other actual lists to storing reference information. Which makes me wish that it had the ability to store graphic files, and have live Internet links. That would make it nearly perfect as far as I'm concerned. About the only list I don't use it for is my to do list, as I use a dedicated app for that. But everything else I can think of, yes.
  • Handy and simple

This little app has modest ambitions, but fulfills them very well. You can make lists of anything you can type, give the lists titles, and use the lists for checking off things. I use it mainly for checklists, reminding me of things to do before travel and of things to take on trips. Once you have checked things off, you can, with just one tap, uncheck all the items. Another tap sorts the unsorted list back into alphabetical order. You can put commentary text on each item in your list, too. I have a list of the states of Mexico, so when I see a license plate I can annotate each state with the date seen. Simple, silly, but fun. The only suggestion I have is that it could use a folder structure so I could put the lists into categories like Travel, Fun, and the like. Not a game changer, though.
  • I am so happy!

    By viviandr (Pcmac user)

I had a simple list maker that was perfect for me for years. You could make multiple lists, check items off, edit, delete, resort, etc. Checked items moved to the bottom. You could email yourself the list (text only). It had a obviously been someone's foray into app creation, and was free and no longer supported by iOS and I was panicking about losing my lists. I tried so many of them but they were not the simple list maker I wanted and needed. I finally found this app yesterday, and am so happy that all the functionality (and more) are working as I needed. I was even able to set it up on my iPad and send the lists via email to myself and import the lists to the app on my iPad. Didn't even need Dropbox! I love, love, love it!
