What is ThumbJam? ThumbJam is a musical performance app that offers over 40 high-quality real instruments multi-sampled exclusively for this app. It has hundreds of included scales that allow you to play effortlessly in any style from rock to classical. 4. Extensive MIDI input and output support over WiFi or Bluetooth, with any CoreMidi compatible device, or other apps on the same iOS device with virtual MIDI.

Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac:

Download the Amazon-Appstore » (U.S only)
- Click on "Get" to begin installation. It also automatically installs Windows Subsystem for Android.
- After installation, Goto Windows Start Menu or Apps list » Open the Amazon Appstore » Login (with Amazon account)

For non-U.S users, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto Playstore on PC » click Configure_Download. This will auto-download Google Play Store on your Windows 11.

The new update to add Audiobus 3 MIDI support includes the ability to use this app as a scale filter so it will take input MIDI notes and use the closest note in your scale in ThumJam to output a note. Since this app supports importing scala files you can have all sorts of microtonal scales in addition to the wide range of scales already available in the app. The developer is one of the best at continuing to update and support his apps. this app is even more useful now that it can be played in landscape orientation on the iPad. A rock solid app you can't go wrong with. It's a great midi controller too.
I would give this 10 stars if I could.

I love this app. I don't know much about music and many of the other apps I've downloaded we're just too difficult to use. With thumb jam, I can just noodle around and make pretty music. I've recorded some of my flutes as instruments and I can now play duets with myself. :-) Hint: choose a nice scale like C major or Blues Pentatonic Minor and all the notes sound good together. I wish some things were slightly easier like exporting and stuff like that, but otherwise I just have a lot of fun with this app.

I am amazed at the versatility of this app. I don’t use it all the time, but occasionally if I need a specific sound played in unusual ways, this is my go to app. The only drawback I can think of would be to have a piano roll and a better way to handle loops. This makes a perfect looping app, having so many sounds, but the loop interface is very simple. That said, one can use it with all kind of looping apps as an add on. Aside from my DAW I’d say this is the best music making app on my phone.

This is far and away my favorite iPad music app (though it also works great on my iPhone SE) This is a real instrument, rather a lot of instruments, but with expression, subtlety and realism that you have to experience to appreciate. Most of the apps on my ipad are jun fun to play around with, even some costing 3x as much are really nothing special. thumb jam is much much more! Innovative, high quality and inspiring. 6 stars.
