What is Air Canada + Aeroplan? The Air Canada + Aeroplan app is a convenient way to manage your Air Canada trips and access the benefits of the Aeroplan loyalty program. The app allows you to book trips using cash or Aeroplan points, track your loyalty program progress, receive timely updates on your flights, and access turn-by-turn airport navigation.

Software Features and Description

1. By downloading or updating this App, or setting up your device to do so automatically, you consent to the installation of the App, its future updates and upgrades and to the Air Canada Mobile App “Terms of Use” that govern the use of App that are available here: You can withdraw your consent at any time by uninstalling the App.

2. Dive in to see your points balance, track Elite status progress, view recent transactions, and access popular program features like Family Sharing, eStore, car rental, and hotels.

3. Action cards prompt you when it's time to check-in, show your upcoming flight status, and even offers your flight's menu when it's almost time to eat on flights offering meal service.

4. • Wi-Fi connection: used to determine if internet access or a connection is available for onboard Wi-Fi and the wireless entertainment system on Air Canada Rouge flights.

5. With the Air Canada + Aeroplan app, you can now enjoy the advantages of the Aeroplan loyalty program with the combined ease of managing your Air Canada trips in a single convenient place.

6. Location data is also used to present the correct boarding passes at connecting airports, and to provide the current location when using airport maps.

7. • Calendar: access to your calendar is used to sync flights from your upcoming bookings to your device's calendar.

8. • Location: your location data is used to show the closest airport(s) for booking, and flight status.

9. We added turn-by-turn airport navigation, a first for a Canadian airline, available in Toronto (YYZ), Montreal (YUL), and Vancouver (YVR), with more coming soon.

10. Sign in with Aeroplan to unlock access to loyalty program benefits.

11. You can now also book with a combination of Points + Cash, or even pay 100% of your fare using points, including taxes, fees, and charges.

No visibility to seats. Security and Baggage Info is wrong

App update looks cleaner and so far seems faster which is a nice plus. But an airline app that does let me modify or see my seat assignments for booked flights, is a huge con. Also cannot preview seat availability when searching for new flights to book which is another big miss. Most people care about where they sit and who they sit with this upgrade makes this kind of useless and means that the website has to be used. I’d this “miss” was intentional then this should have been pointed out the release notes in the App Store. Finally, an issue that is has been around for years and still exists. App still gives wrong info about passenger needing to pick up bags and/or go through security again after clearing customs on international flights. Flying from BOS to YHZ and connecting to to another domestic flight this app informs me that l do not need to pick up baggage nor go through security again. This is incorrect. For ALL inbound connections from international locations that connect though YHZ you are required to both pick up your bags and go through security again. Please fix this bug/incorrect data.

I read a few reviews and realized that for others a review is an easy place to complain about the the app travel experience in general. That aside, this is a beautifully designed and highly functional app. It is clearly the best in Canada! Great job. You are clearly taking steps to always be improving. Thank you. Now if you can fix all those other things in the physical world...
Unbelievably bad update

This is probably the worst update I have ever come across on my iPhone. Almost all functionality has been removed!!! Unable to manage seat assignments, eUpgrade gone, there is no details beside departure time. Can’t even see what seat I have. Surely this was some sort of a mistake? Its like when It accidentally reverts back to a year old version. I keep expecting an email from AC saying we apologize for this error and will be restoring the app momentarily. Whomever was responsible for this update should be terminated immediately.
Horrible-other PASSENGER info leaked!

This is maybe the second app review I have written in my life. But this app is horrible. I preferred the previous version. Retrieving your booking is easy but the app decided to change it to some random flight I never booked with a different email and passenger information. I all of a sudden had someone else’s information to access and flight details! I obviously deleted it but that just worries me that anyone else can end up with my info and flight details accidentally.
