Install OpenScape UC app on your Windows in 4 steps below:

Download an Android emulator for PC:

Install the emulator:
On your computer, goto the Downloads folder » click to install Bluestacks.exe or Nox.exe » Accept the License Agreements » Follow the on-screen prompts to complete installation.

Using OpenScape UC on PC [Windows 10/ 11]:

Open the Emulator app you installed » goto its search bar and search "OpenScape UC"
The search will reveal the OpenScape UC app icon. Open, then click "Install".
Once OpenScape UC is downloaded inside the emulator, locate/click the "All apps" icon to access a page containing all your installed applications including OpenScape UC.
Now enjoy OpenScape UC on PC.

To get started, Download the OpenPC software »
- Upon installation, open OpenPC app » goto "Playstore on PC" » click "Configure_Download" button. This will auto-download and install PlayStore on your computer.

To use OpenScape UC,
- Login to the PlayStore we just installed
- Search for "OpenScape UC" » then Click "Install".
- OpenScape UC will now be available on your Windows start-menu.

OpenScape UC functions

- Set your user presence status and preferred device or device list

- Be reached on a single published phone number

- See your OpenScape contacts and their presence status

- Manage your OpenScape contacts and place calls to your contacts through your corporate network

- Initiate ad-hoc conferences and join a conference, plus see the conference status

- Activate rules and set time zone, location and status note

- Not a softphone, the voice connection is still set up by your iPhone using your carrier.

✔ Pros:

- Excellent UC app and system for business

- Works well to tie into work computer's system

- Updated version 2.0.16 fixed the timeout issue

- Can go for days without using the app and it still works

☹ Cons:

- Freezes after making a home call

- Need to close and reopen the product to do anything after making a phone call

- Confusing website for support

- Cannot see if there is voicemail from the application and no automatic notification for it.

An impressive product with a "bug"

It works very well to tie you into your work computer's system. The only problem is that it freezes after you make a home call. In order to do anything after making a phone call, you need to close out and reopen the product. I clicked the links for support and did wind up sending an email, but the website is confusing - would be better if the "support" button took you exactly where you need to be instead of to their general website.

Updated to 2.0.16. This fixed the timeout issue. Now i can go for days without using the app but it stiil works. One major issue remains. When using app to initiate a call the app will freeze if anything on any page o the app is touched. If the call is completed without touching the app then it still works. Sounds like a problem reported ealier on 2.0.8
