Software Features and Description

1. Provides variable pitch (415-460 Hz), a selection of common open tuning templates (Classic, Classic half step down, Open E, Open G, Open D, Open C, DADGAD, Dropped D, Dobro) and highest sensitivity (0.02 cent resolution).

2. Classic EADGBE tuning template and variable pitch selection between 415 and 460 Hz and double sensitivity for the professional classic guitar player.

3. To handle the fine tuning indicator on this extreme precision level, measure the pitch by very small or no string tension changes.

4. The free version provides the classic E tuning template at LOWER historic 432 Hz pitch.

5. Exclusively featuring StopperStimmung™ (1988), a slightly stretched tuning creating an amazing and clear sound on your instrument by the tunings stunning structural symmetry.

6. TUNIC GUITAR PRO: The full version for the professional user requiring more tuning settings.

7. Always tune your instrument in 2-3 cycles, as every change of one string affects the other strings.

8. Pluck the string with a plectrum to produce an overtone rich sound with the microphone close to the instrument.

9. Tune your instrument often to achieve a good tuning stability.

10. Pluck the string to be tuned about one time per second, while muting the other strings.

11. The temperament compromise is strongly lessened by symmetrically interfering harmonics making chords to appear as beeing pure tuned.

  • Worth the 10 bucks

    By Aporeo (Pcmac user)

This app works as advertised. To my surprise, it does in fact tune the guitar to a very high precision. I have tried two other tuners from the app store and have used several other traditional tuners and none can come close to this program. I have a Taylor 814-ce and it sounds amazing after being tuned with the the app. Chords sound cleaner and tighter. I tried to find more information about this method of tuning online and found very little information. I took a chance buying this program and for once it worked out. Bernhard Stopper should put out more information online so people can make a more informed decision. You can find recordings of guitars tuned with this tuner but there are no comparisons to guitars tuned with the average tuner so you can know what kind of sound you are buying. Also, for ten bucks I think a little more capability could be included, such as being able to tune a few steps up or down or capo tuning.
  • not bad

i used to use a digital tuner for guitar, but it seems better finetuning it. great app!
  • Great Tuner

    By jaymiranda (Pcmac user)

I am a newbie to guitars. Mine has been sitting in my room for about a month because I did not want to buy a new tuner. Found this one on the app store and it was amazing. It does not give you a bunch of options like other tuners claim to do in the app store. But if you just want the job done, then this is it. $10 was well worth it.
  • I'm a believer

    By StreetSpirit (Pcmac user)

I was beyond skeptical about this tuner based on the price of the pro version. But I tried this one on a whim and can say with certainty that my guitar has never sounded better. It's not just the precision of the tuning, it's the way this variation makes harmonics sound. No joke it is totally worth $10.
