If you want to install and use the Weather: The Weather Channel app on your PC or Mac, you will need to download and install a Desktop App emulator for your computer. We have worked diligently to help you understand how to use this app for your computer in 4 simple steps below:

Step 1: Download an Android emulator for PC and Mac

Ok. First things first. If you want to use the application on your computer, first visit the Mac store or Windows AppStore and search for either the Bluestacks app or the Nox App . Most of the tutorials on the web recommends the Bluestacks app and I might be tempted to recommend it too, because you are more likely to easily find solutions online if you have trouble using the Bluestacks application on your computer. You can download the Bluestacks Pc or Mac software here

Step 2: Install the emulator on your PC or Mac

Now that you have downloaded the emulator of your choice, go to the Downloads folder on your computer to locate the emulator or Bluestacks application.
Once you have found it, click it to install the application or exe on your PC or Mac computer.
Now click Next to accept the license agreement.
Follow the on screen directives in order to install the application properly.
If you do the above correctly, the Emulator app will be successfully installed.

Step 3: for PC - Windows 7/8 / 8.1 / 10

Now, open the Emulator application you have installed and look for its search bar. Once you found it, type Weather: The Weather Channel in the search bar and press Search. Click on Weather: The Weather Channel application icon. A window of Weather: The Weather Channel on the Play Store or the app store will open and it will display the Store in your emulator application. Now, press the Install button and like on an iPhone or Android device, your application will start downloading. Now we are all done.
You will see an icon called "All Apps".
Click on it and it will take you to a page containing all your installed applications.
You should see the icon. Click on it and start using the application.

Step 4: for Mac OS

Hi. Mac user!
The steps to use this app for Mac are exactly like the ones for Windows OS above. All you need to do is install the Nox Application Emulator or Bluestack on your Macintosh. The links are provided in step one

Download on Andriod, Iphone
Free On iTunes
Download Android

Thank you for reading this tutorial. Have a nice day!

  • Great weather app Tells me what I need to Know

    By scoobydo99
Anyone can find little faults with anything, but I believe small things aren’t a big issue. Maybe it’s just the way I am, but if something works well overall, I won’t hold it against a great review. I generally take negative reviews with a grain of salt anyway unless it’s major! When I decide to leave a review for something I will judge fairly. Sure if it’s something that needs to be very accurate then I will judge more accordingly... Yes things have changed with the look of the UI this that... It’s different, but I have no problem with the change. I have noticed the Radar map, and other weather info is on point with other weather apps or forecasts. Weather can always change. Sometimes things will be a little off especially with radar map. If the Radar shows rain in my location at a given time it’s generally correct give or take 15 minutes, but it’s not a big deal in the Grand Scheme of things. I don’t necessarily expect exact timing, because as I said weather can have acute changes. Nothings perfect, but overall I have nothing majorly negative to say. I use the app with iPhone 6, and my main iPhone 7.
  • Less than 1 star is what this app deserves

I had used the app since its inception but I’m deleting it from my phone. Lately with every release there has been less weather information and more videos with horrible tv personalities trying to be amusing or pseudo-science sound bites that have little or nothing to do with the weather. I have subscribed to the ad free version each year since it became available and that helped, but I’m so throughly disgusted with the redesign that I’m done with everything to do with the Weather Channel. The app now carries little useful information, (for years you haven’t been able to view anything resembling a map with weather fronts which I find useful as I suffer from sinus headaches) but in prior releases one could easily find the humidity (vital in parts of the country), temperature, and hourly forecast. Now with work you can find the temperature and hourly forecast. I use a weather app to find out the weather for the day. To know if I need a rain coat or if I’m going to have to wear light or heavy cloths. Or take a jacket. And if I’m packing to travel (which I do often) is like to easily be able to see other cities. Now I have to work for it. And only get vague hints as to the weather. So, bye bye Weather Channel. I’ll rely on AccuWeather (my husband swears by it) or even WeatherBug for my daily and planning needs and I’ll use Radar Scope for tornadoes or dangerous weather.
  • Downgrade of an update

    By Jadedgazelle
Update: I emailed a support request to TWC about the upgrade not recognizing my ad-free purchase. It’s been more than 72 hours and no reply. Infuriating! I wish I knew the best alternative weather app to recommend. It used to be Weather Underground, but TWC has recently “upgraded” that app as well. Original: The latest version is in essence a major downgrade. For one thing, it caused the app to forget that I’ve already paid to remove ads. When I try to restore purchases, it pops up that there is nothing to restore. When I try to buy it again just to see if it will allow me to, iTunes warns that I have already purchased it and if I do so again, it will only extend the current subscription. The ads are so intrusive and resource heavy now that they cause the app to frequently stall or freeze, and sometimes even crash. Maybe this is also partly due to the other resource heavy content they put on the app like the ridiculous amount of video content. The Weather Channel organization has irritated me for many years with its blatant weather news sensationalism, but I continued to use the app because it used to be fairly decent and reliable. Not so much with the new app overhaul that came out a couple of weeks ago. And now that they have taken over and overhauled the Weather Underground apps as well, these too are much less than what they once were.
  • Words, Not Tiny Pictures

I want the weather forecast. I want to know what it’s going to do today. I don’t need a bar chart or a graph to interpret the rising and falling temps. When I want to see hourly, I should be able to see more than 6 hours without having to scroll, and scroll, and scroll. (Oops, I forgot, if I choose Hourly from the bottom of the screen the information is shown in a useful manner.) If I can choose hourly or daily from the main screen, why do I need a bar at the bottom, taking up more space, to access these features. (Oops, again, apparently I need multiple ways to see the information, I just need to remember which way to get to it that provides USEFUL data.) If I can see all my options from the main screen, why do I need a big white button at the top of the screen, taking up space and blocking the entire current forecast; that provides me with yet ANOTHER take on the weather. On the main screen, over 2/3rds of the space is dedicated to ads, repeat menus, and useless charts...oh, and “Trending Conditions”...isn’t all weather a trending condition? Maybe because I’m in my 50’s, I don’t get the need for pictures. I want words that are in a font big enough to see without a magnifying glass. I don’t need three ways to access the same information. I need a single source for info that is of a decent and usable size.

  • Great warning!

    By Elwin Ransom451
I was about to travel, but I saw that the city I was going to had a "Godzilla warning, with a possibility of Rosan." I'm VERY glad that I got this app!
  • What’s different?

    By sbd4611
Fully reimagined? Am I missing something? Looks exactly the same as before the update and that’s not a good thing.
  • Decent

Honestly, TWC could have a better offering in the weather app category. The iPhone app is okay. Apple Watch support is fair; no complications for the infograph..
  • Not a fan of the latest update

    By Glrsims
When there is any sort of alert, the current conditions on the opening page are reduced to a tiny font that I need reading glasses to see. It’s slightly larger when there are no alerts but I think it should be unmistakably the focus. I don’t need that big graph that takes up most of the page. Also, where the heck is the humidity?!? Also, there is no reading of current wind speeds. What use is a weather app that doesn’t even bother with humidity and wind speed, particularly in dry, windy and fire prone areas? Think I’m deleting it.
  • Removing Ads crashes app

    By Mountainmystic
I paid to remove ads and now the app no longer launches.
  • Latest iteration- Terrible

The new redesign of the app is horrible. It is more difficult to use with less information! I have not met a single human or living being that likes the latest update. Please go back to the old Ap.
